GXP 2000 Firmware 1.0.1.2
Greetings all Grandstream released a new firmware and it seems like the speaker phone problem has been fixed. However we updated to firmware 1.0.1.12<http://1.0.1.12>to fix the echo problem but found other problems were now created. The worst of these new problems is that the whole phone starts degrading, the volume starts getting lower and lower. The ringing starts fading and the calls

Grandstream GXP-2000 Poor sound Quality
I have upgraded the GXP-2000 to the newest firmware 1.0.1.12<http://1.0.1.12>and the phone is much more usable However, I still have two slight sound quality issues: 1) There is static on the line at all times. It is not that noticable to me, but when I make calls out the PSTN the person on the other end hears it. If I use a Cisco ATA with an analog phone and call the same person again

Grandstream GXP-2000
FYI, spoke with Grandstream this morning, the GXP-2000 release has been delayed again. Looking like April now before these hit the street. -- Cory Andrews Senior Partner VOIPSupply.com +++++++++++++ V: 800.398.VOIP X22 F: 716.630.1548 E: Cory@VOIPSupply.com

grandstream ntp
I am running ntpd on the same machine as asterisk in order for the grandstream phones to display the time. After a while the time display fails until the phone is re-booted. Has anyone run into this problem before? Is it simply a bug in the GS firmware? Sean

Grandstream GXP-2000's and Asterisk.
I have 5 GXP 2000's with firmware 1.1.4.25 running with Asterisk 1.4.13. Is anyone else getting the following error in the asterisk console: [Oct 22 11:39:01] WARNING[7100]: rtp.c:1142 ast_rtp_read: RTP Read too short every couple of seconds when a handset is in a call? I didn't notice this happening when I was using an older GXP2000 with the same firmware (doesn't mean that it

ntp time server
Currently, my time server is a Sun v240 with a 32-pci gps card (with a proprietary Solaris driver) attached to our gps receiver via an sma cable up to the roof of my building. As I'm migrating almost all of our Solaris servers and services over to CentOS, I'd like to know what other people are using for time server hardware. Any suggestions? -- Andy Harrison public key: 0x67518262

GXP-2000 phones stop registering
I have about 30 GXP-2000 phones running 1.0.1.9 which have all been configured using the provisioning feature so the configuration is all identical. The problem I am having is that they randomly seem to stop registering with asterisk. When they stop registering they can still make calls but oviously asterisk cannot ring the phone so all incoming calls go to voicemail. Has anyone else had similar

GXP-2000 w/ 1.1.0.11 firmware
I had provisioning via tftp working on this phone. I have verified that after the firmware upgrade, it contacts the tftp server and downloads the cfgMACADDR file, and the ring/etc files successfully. Unfortunately, changes made to the config file don't make it to the phone (SIP account info/server info, etc). The script that I am using to generate the binary files is loosely based on

very slow network from GXP-2000 switch port
Hello, At a client site yesterday I installed a dozen GrandStream GXP-2000's with 1.1.0.13 firmware but I had to backtrack and reactivate the old PBX and phones: network access for users windoze PC's through the phone's switch port was unbearably slow, making it almost impossible to work. When plugging back PC's directly to the LAN speed was normal again. On my test setup

GXP-2000 registration issues
Greetings all I was wondering if any of you have found this problem. I have a setup with 80 GXP-2000s which work great until I decide to stop now my asterisk server. When it comes back up half of the phones (not always the same ones) fail to register with Asterisk. I set up the phones to register and send keep alives (register every 4 minutes, send keep alives every 20 seconds) to no avail.
