SIP behind NAT to pub Asterisk, best solution?
What is the best solution? I dont want to have modify firewall's at all or do port fowarding. Ideally I would like a solution that with either a softphone or wireless hardphone one could connect via friends, family, or hotspots without reconfiguring their devices. What are people using? STUN? SER? Thanks in advance! -blake -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

Asterisk Box as a Router, Firewall and DHCP Server
Hi, I'm planning to get my Asterisk box out of the LAN, get rid of my router and make the box acts as a Router, Firewall, DHCP Server (with Shorewall). I'll do that to be able to use some SIP clients remotely. Does anyone doing the same with the Asterisk box, is it a good idea, is there any other solution for the SIP emote Clients. T100P & Integrated (D&V) T1 -> Public IP Range
Hello, I have a T100P card on a Red Hat 8 machine with Asterisk installed on it and I'm trying to get the data routing properly through it. I purchased an Integrated Data/Voice T1 Line with channels 1-6 voice and 13-24 data. The line is plugged directly into the Asterisk machine's T100P card. Previous to the asterisk set up we had an Adtran router that connected everything to what the

Integrated T1
Can an asterisk box equipped with a Digium T1 card handle Integrated T1 circuits? I have a T1 with 768k data and the remaining channels voice, can the asterisk box do the Data routing + Voice processing? It's only going to support 4-5 users(the voice channels won't all be active obviously). ________________________________ This e-mail, facsimile, or letter and any files or attachments

HDLC on T1
I have a new client who is about to order an Integrated PRI T1--eight voice channels and the remainder data. He's not sure whether Qwest will provide a router to split the voice and data. I remember we had a lot of trouble with HDLC in Linux kernels past 2.4.19. Have those problems been fixed in the 2.6 kernel? Will I be able to split the voice and data channels using zaptel?

Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine publishes Samba art icle.
I got mcp mag a day or two ago, Great writeup!! I was a little surprised that they ran such a glowing review of samba, with some of the negative implications on NT. It is very nice to see Microsoft show an interest in interoperability. -Steve Roylance > -----Original Message----- > From: Jeremy Allison [SMTP:jallison@cthulhu.engr.sgi.com] > Sent: Thursday, April 15, 1999 6:41 PM >
