chan-capi: Sending digits on a bri (isdn) d-channel
Dear asterisk users! I want to control a hardware pbx with asterisk. What I need to do this is being able to press "hold" which can be done with capicommand(hold) and then send digits on a bri card which connects to my asterisk computer. So far I use Dial(CAPI/ISDN1/27:<<digits>>/bo,15) to do this. Are there better ways? Note that these are not dtmf, I'm afraid. I use

ISDN - BRI
Subsequent to some previous E-Mails, I've been trying to dig into the ISDN - BRI situation a bit more. I have determined that I have a HFC card with Winbond chip, but I'm not sure what combination of drivers is best or usable. zaphfc is out because it only supports the cologne chip. misdn is a possibility. I haven't determined if it supports the card natively, or needs a card

ISDN BRI active adapters with NT mode - any alternatives ?
Having ISDN FXOs and a bunch of ISDN DECT base stations, I went looking for a CAPI compatible active BRI adapter capable of NT mode. I have found that the 'Eicon Diva Server 4BRI' fulfills theses requirements. However, at EUR 1387 for four BRI interfaces, it does not come cheap. Are there other users of similar hardware that can point me to alternatives ?

cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card oni4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hi, Bristuff works great with HFC card... your compilation problem may come from your kernel configuration... You should check this doc, at least, for the redhat config : http://www.automated.it/guidetoasterisk.htm Then, installation of Bristuff works like as charm ! chan_capi-cm, Euro ISDN bus: 2 extensions on same BRI port not working
Hello, I am using a system with an AVM ISDN PCI card (fcpci) and asterisk with chan_capi-cm-0.6. The hardware is connected to a Siemens Hipath 3550 PBX. As a BRI connection has 2 channels and allows 2 simultaneous calls, numbers/MSNs 6391 and 6392 were for provisioned for each channel. The system is working (partly, read on), the trick is the correct cable wiring and setup the PBX's port

ISDN BRI with National (north america) Signalling
Anyone actually got this working with asterisk ? I have read posts that it is possible with capi and the diva server cards. Regular diva and diva pro both claim to support NI-1 and NI-2 and CAPI - will they work as well ? Has anyone actually got it working ? Forget the should and could part, I only care about the does/doesn't and why. If you have it working, please tell me - telco,

G.729 patent in France
Hi all, I am building an Asterisk PBX with voicemail and music on hold functions. An ISDN BRI line will also be available and G.729 IP-phones will be used. Are there patents rights applicable to France? Which licence could I use and how many ones are required (only one per phone or also for voicemail and MOH)? * & ISDN-BRI-PTP & DID & ISDN4Linux does not show incoming number
Hi, I am using Asterisk on a DSS1 ISDN-BRI with ISDN4Linux (and a Fritz Card PnP). The ISDN-BRI is in PTP-Mode (Point to Point "german: Anlagenanschluss") which is enabled within I4L with "hisaxctrl fcpcipnp0 7 1". Everything works fine except that I can not see the called number/MSN of incoming calls within Asterisk and because of this I can not route incoming calls

FW: Asterisk@home - requesting help on oh323, ISDN BRI and iConnectHere DID
I know almost nothing linux, and don't really know that much about Asterisk (proper).. but I was 'pulled' by this subject and grabbed an <mailto:Asterisk@home> Asterisk@home installation CD (version 1.3) and just went with it. Newbie doesn't quite describe it, I'm a banker.. this simply goes to show how easy Asterisk is becoming (I certainly hope this direction was meant

chan_capi, Eicon Diva server BRI, kernel 2.6?
Hi list, Does chan_capi work with kernel 2.6? The Eicon Diva server card loads fine judging from /var/log/messages but Asterisk gives an error when trying to load the chan_capi module. I'm using chan_capi-0.3.5, zaptel-1.0.0, libpri-1.0.0 and asterisk-1.0.0 on a Fedora box with kernel 2.6.8-1.584. Zaptel and ilbpri work fine as does *. I have seen a msg that may be related and don't know

I got a Diva passive ISDN card and I can't get it work with asterisk 1.4, It is supported in the kernel as an isdn4linux device but I can't find "Modem" channel type when i type in: core show channeltypes. ISDN BRI hardware
Hi, Anybody have lots of experience with PCI ISDN cards and Asterisk? I'm thinking of getting a BRI in my house to deliver more advanced signaling to my PBX (yes, I'm a geek :-)) but I've never played with isdn4linux. Is there any particular BRI card that works better with Asterisk than any other? Also, can the BRI interface cards participate in conference, etc., since they

Hi, I have an asterisk with a DIVA Server V-BRI-2 card, connected to a Siemens PABX. cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card on i4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hello I have asterisk running in Red Hat 9 with a cheap HFC card on i4l. I have choppy sound problems sometimes, and echo problems often. I am using a 2 port Grandstream ATA, Grandstream BT and a Grandstream GPX-2000 I read that changing to BriStuff will fix the echo problems, but have also read other users say that the only way they solved the echo/choppy sound problems was using a Fritz ISDN

Diva Server BRI hangs up after about 25 seconds
I have a Diva Server BRI installed in a Debian system running Asterisk 1.2.22. When a call comes in the Background application plays a couple of times. Halfway through the second time, the call is disconnected (total time connected about 25 seconds). I've posted various configs below. Any advice on how to debug would be appreciated. We are located in New Zealand. CLI showing capi debug (just
