Asterisk registering with vonage
Hello everyone. I've seen postings for connecting asterisk to vonage but I'm still having trouble achieving that. I have a vonage softphone and I'm trying to register to vonage using asterisk. I have not had any luck. I am behind a firewall. I've successfully gotten xlite to connect and work from the same network. When I change the port setting in [general] to 5061, I am able to

Vonage Softphone/resolved
My previous post hasn't even made it to the list yet (am I being moderated?), but I got Vonage's Softphone service working for inbound and outbound calls. Keep in mind that there's currently no perceived limit on simultaneous inbound calls, which makes this a wonderful solution for Asterisk (at least for my use). Below is a sanitized snippet from my working sip.conf; your mileage may

SIP-SIP transfer via the REFER/NOTIFY method
Could anyone help me set up Asterisk in such a way that it makes SIP-SIP transfers using the REFER / NOTIFY method according to RFC-3515 ? SCANARIO: - Asterisk registers with PSTN<->SIP VoIP provider "V" (Vonage) as a friend - Asterisk is located in Europe, Vonage in located US. - Asterisk acts as an autoattendant located in Europe. - Asterisk answers and incoming call from

Problem with DIAX and Asterisk and Vonage
Hi All, I have installed Asterisk and able to create Users and get them connected to Asterisk after authentication. My question is how can I make calls to different DIAX clients through my Asterisk server. I also have vonage softphone account, using that I tried calling 18882255322 -- Registered 'manoj' (AUTHENTICATED) at 59.93.73.0:4569 -- Registered 'diax'

Asterisk and Vonage - Can't call out but can receive calls
Hi, I'm trying to get Asterisk to connect to Vonage (softphone acct) to allow me to place and receive calls. I have successfully configured Asterisk to route inbound calls and send them to the correct extension, but I can't get outbound calls to work. I have Asterisk successfully registering with Vonage, but when an INVITE is sent out, I get a "404 Not Found" back from Vonage

Problem configuring Asterisk
Hi All, I tried with different configurations and referred many articles to configure Asterisk with a Vonage account I have but all my attempts failed. I am a newbie and hope this mailing list will help fixing my problem and configure Asterisk. The error I get after I make a call to outside number like 18007633555 is -- Accepting AUTHENTICATED call from 59.93.69.218, requested format =

Vonage <---> Asterisk Working Config!
Hi Nitesh, check out my config that I have for the Faktortel config in the asterisk@home sourceforge forum, you'll probably be able to work out how to set it up from there. Vonage just doesn't work?
I've yet to successfully register and receive calls from my Vonage softphone. I've tried what few examples are given in former post this list and some other forums, but nobody seems to be stepping forward saying it works recently. Either they broke something to where you simply cannot use *, or the config examples need updated. If anyone can show a still working config,

Asterisk with Vonage
I know Vonage doesn't officially have a "bring your own device" type program, but they do offer a softphone. Has anyone gotten Asterisk to connect directly to Vonage? This would be a great help!! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Vonage a provider?
I am new to the mailing list, but I am very interested in running my small home business office phone system using Asterisk. However, Broadvoice, a VoIP provider of choice based on my research, is not available in my area. I currently use Vonage VoIP. Their website mentions nothing about being able to link to Asterisk. I was wondering if any US subscribers have been able to configure Vonage

using broadvoice and vonage hardware withAsterisk
So Asterisk can't send VOIP calls to Vonage -- but it is still possible to use Vonage for flat-rate long distance by connecting the Vonage AT-196 to an * FXS port, right? The price is an extra D/A <--> A/D conversion. Jim Shilliday IT Director Equal Justice Center 1315 Walnut St. Suite 400 Philadelphia PA 19107 215-238-6970 -----Original Message----- From: Tim Petlock

Vonage <---> Asterisk Complete Config
Vonage doesn't sell just a softphone account -- or at least they didn't about six months ago when I was a Vonage customer. But they do allow a softphone as an add-on to an ATA-based account. Because the softphone account works with openly available soft clients, it also works with asterisk. The big "secret" is that they use port 5061, rather than port 5060. > > I

[Fwd: RE: any possibility of Vonage Integration]
I stand corrected! However you do get my point ... The bigger the company the worse it is. Having to deal with these guys is a nightmare. The company that brings me out in spots is Rogers Cable (24/7). They have this electronic air-head called "Gertrude" or something, (an android) who can't understand the word "NO" and has trouble with "YES" (actually like my

Vonage Linksys Router - Life after Vonage
I setup a vonage account last year, and cancelled it last night when I put my asterisk box together and signed up for a Broadvoice account to use with it. Now I would like to use my Linksys router as an MTA, but realize it is still programmed with all of vonage's proprietary information and I do not know how to clear it. I understand that just pushing the reset button will not do it.

vonage and asterisk
I've been reading all I can in order to try to implement an asterisk setup. In speaking with someone the other day, they advised they thought there was a way to make a SIP or softphone (gnophone) go straight out to the vonage network through asterisk. I already have vonage set up with an ATA 186. What I'm wondering is is there some way that I could direct dial from a softphone

Configuration on a Vonage Motorola VT-1000
Maybe somebody can help me. I'm testing my brand new [*], interconnecting it with several networks, but only via softphones up to now. I do have a VT1000 CPE from vonage, with a vonage line on the first FXS port, and would like to use the second FXS port to connect it to my [*] This is my question: My vonage VT1000 is connected between the cablemodem and a home gateway. Therefore, I

Vonage and FXO
Is anyone using Vonage on an FXO port in Asterisk? How well does it work? Specifically, any echo/delay problems? Second part, I am assuming it is possible to separate fxo ports for least cost routing correct? In other words, I would like the routing to be such that any local or 1-800# dials fxo ports 1-4 which is a normal 4 line analog PSTN connection. Any long distance call will try to dial

Transfer to Fax - 123 - Vonage
Okay, my last post for the night. So, after tweaking my iptables rules I placed a test call from my * -> Vonage softphone account, to my Vonage main account (which uses the Motorola device). Once connected I tried punching a few DTMF's to check the quality and found I had been transferred to a fax machine. ???? Did I find a secret entrance to some fax machine at Vonage, or
