automon - one touch record
Actually the docs for the Queue application say:
'w' -- allow the called user to write the conversation to disk via Monitor
'W' -- allow the calling user to write the conversation to disk via Monitor
couldn't get these to work tho. Does this mean I can do one touch recording with agents, or does it mean I can use the monitor() command? Very confusing...

Queue/Agent recording and configuration
Good Morning,
Does anyone know a way around my problem?
The call is from a queue. I need to know how to play a message to the
customer (terms & conditions) keep the agent with the call while a message
is played and record only a small portion of the call (the callers
acceptance of the terms and conditions).
Kind regards

ChanSpy
Anyone know why chanspy was not included in asterisk
distribution as of October. ?
I tried patching my current 1.0 but seems the patches are
for an older version.
I posted a bounty of $250 to get this to work with the
newest stable.
Needs be able to monitor bridged sip calls with or without a
monitoring beep.
Thanks

WinBind and gdm/login
Hi,
I am currently trying to set up a RedHat 9 Linux client to authenticate
against a Windows 2000 Active Directory server.
Using the Winbind documentation I have successfully authenticated
however I now have a problem with gdm.

Mapping/mount smb file systems without using password
I have been working on getting a Linux workstation to authenticate
against a W2K ADS. I have this working successfully using
WinBind/PAM/Samba.
I would now like to go one step further and mount/map the Windows
network drives for the logged in client.
I have looked at the man page for smbclient, is it possible to pass
through the winbind password that was used for gdm authentication

WinBind - 3.0.0beta1
I am trying to get WinBind working against Windows 2000 ADS.
I am following the document
http://de.samba.org/samba/devel/docs/html/winbind.html.
I have successfully joined the samba server to the PDC domain.
/usr/local/samba/bin/net join -S PDC -U Administrator
The winbindd starts successfully however when I try to use wbinfo -u it
returns.

[Fwd: Re: Large issue - having trouble diagnosing.]
thankyou both very much for your swift responses and helpful insight...
While my knowledge of administrating Asterisk is fairly decent, i must say
my knowledgebase and ability in troubleshooting it is fairly lousy...
all these wonderful suggestions you have had about turning this log on here,
etc sounds great, but i don't know where to begin on that! how do you
recommend i turn these on or

Asterisk question
Any idea how to read an external file, grab some stuff and push it back
into an Asterisk variable?
I can do it the other way with:
system(echo "${UNIQUEID} =>" >> /home/ast/curr_calls)
but I'm a bit stumped on how to go the other way around....
much thanks,

map_ptr warning
I am trying to finalize the use of rsync for updatiung a new nfs server
before we take the old one offline. I keep getting the following
warning during the rsync process:
Warning: unexpected rad size of 0 in map_ptr
Any ideas where this comes from and how to make it go away? I am using
rsync 2.5.2 on Solaris 8 to pull data from rsync 2.5.2 on Solaris 7.

queue issue
I have a _very_ specific situation where I need queues to work in a very
specific manner - I need the queue to only accept one call at a time,
even though several phones are attached to it.
My memory tells me that queues might have even worked this way in the
distant past (pre 1.0)...but I am willing to be mistaken.
Is this even remotely possible?

Loc function in R??
Does anyone know which function (if any) will return the index of the
true locations in a Boolean vector?
For instance:
A=c(1,3,5,7,4);
B=c(2,4,77,3,3);
X=A<B;
So X is:
> X
[1] TRUE TRUE TRUE FALSE FALSE
I'd like to know if there is a function that will tell me the locations
of where the TRUE values are? for instance a vector that will list that
the locations are at

large dataset!
Hi, I need to analyze data that has 3.5 million observations and
about 60 variables and I was planning on using R to do this but
I can't even seem to read in the data. It just freezes and ties
up the whole system -- and this is on a Linux box purchased about
6 months ago on a dual-processor PC that was pretty much the top
of the line. I've tried expanding R the memory limits but it

inverse F distribution in R?
Dear all,
I'm looking for a function that calls the inverse F-distribution.
Something equivalent to FINV in matlab or excel.
Does anyone know if such a function already exists for R? (I haven't
been able to find one.)
Thanks for any leads.

extracting vectors from lists of lists
Good evening
I often have as output from simulations a list of various values, vectors
and matrices.
Supposing that I then run said simulation several times, I often want to
extract a particular result from each simulation for plotting and,
ideally, put it in a matrix.
A simple example
v1 <- 1:5
v2 <- 6:10
other1 <- "stuff"
other2 <- "stuff"

VLAN's
Hi,
I have a firewall running IPTABLES. I have tried to route sip traffic from
my WAN(eth3) interface to a VLAN(eth2.2) interface, however the data will
not route to the VLAN it keeps routing to the default interface(eth2). Does
anyone have an idea as to what I need to look for?
