PrivacyManager not working Asterisk 1.0.9-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC8n
Hi list! I'm trying to get PrivacyManager working but for some reason it always thinks that CallerID is present (when it isn't). I get this on the console: == Primary D-Channel on span 1 up -- Accepting voice call from '' to '0711234567' on channel 0/2, span 1 -- Executing Ringing("Zap/2-1", "") in new stack -- Executing

Quad BRI cards
Hi, I have a couple of questions about Quad-BRI solutions for Asterisk, and was hoping that I might get some feedback based on other people's experience. We currently use the Junghanns card, which is a pure Zaptel solution, which is fantastic, but they have no hardware EC solution, and their drivers are becoming increasingly un-stable with time (I back-port to a modified qozap driver from

bristuff-0.2.0-RC8n problems and kernel panic
Hi list! On a newly installed RHEL 4 box I'm trying to install bristuff-0.2.0-RC8n. Everything did compile but I am running into some problems with the zaphfc driver. First of all when I load zaphfc *before* zaptel (yes I know I shouldn't do that) I get a kernel panic and the box hangs. Not so nice, especially when you are trying to fix stuff from remote locations. But ok. Now for

Asterisk 1.0.5-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC5 caller id?
I tried to get callerid working the normal way but the cid is never passed to the phone. It doesn't work untill I set SetCIDNum(0${PRI_NETWORK_CID}) in extensions.conf which I found in the wiki: http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-print.php?page=Asterisk+zaphfc Is this intended behaviour, or still a bug? It does work but it only shows one zero even though I have nationalprefix = 0

CentOS 4.1 x86_64 compiler segfaults
Hi list! I am running CentOS 4.1 x86_64 on an Athlon64. The box was installed only yesterday. Yesterday I was still able to compil stuff, yesterday even the tiniest and simplest programs fail to compile always with internal compiler error: Segmentation fault. For example: make -C /usr/src/linux-2.6 SUBDIRS=/tmp/bristuff-0.2.0-RC8n/qozap ZAP=-I/tmp/bristuff-0.2.0-RC8n/zaptel-1.0.9 modules

Limit fax tx speed of 'dumb' faxes??
Hi! Still trying to get fax to work in a reliable manner. I have some dumb fax machines that do not have a setting to limit tx/rx speeds. For some reason when training they often think the line is good enough for 14k4 or higher after which the fax will fail. Is there any other way of forcing the faxes to lower their speeds? Would it be possible to monitor certain extensions for the sound

[Asterisk-Dev] Severe ISDN signal distortion in CVS-HEAD with octoBRI
BUG/SYMPTOMS: 1.Under certain circumstances, octoBRI (and most likely quadBRI) ISDN cards (Junghanns/CologneChip) severely distort certain ISDN payload. 2.Although these claims relate to the bristuff patch, the problem might not be limited to bristuff and in fact be rather asterisk/zaptel/libpri related. 3.Signal distortion is limited to the use of the CVS version of the Bristuff patch for

1.2 to 1.6 and bristuff
Hi, I am just moving from Asterisk 1.2+bristuff up to 1.6.2, a huge leap :) I was wondering if someone could point me at 3 things that I appear to have "lost"? 1) ZapEC(off) - Is there an equivalent dialplan command to request no EC on a channel before dialling in DAHDI? 2) rxfax(file.tiff) - I have found ReceiveFax(), but I am aware that much has happened in the faxing stakes

Echo cancel on HFC-S cards and CIDNum setting on outgoing calls
hi all! I'm running an Asterisk-box with bristuff-....RC8n and 2 HFC-S cards. I m located in Vienna/Austria. I have the problem that on outgoing calls i hear my voice as a short echo (about half a second). This occurs not on every call. I tried some changes in my zapata.conf, with rxgain and txgain settings, but to me its hard to find a configuration which is good for every call i make. Is

Bristuff qozap drivers problem
Hi, For a significant time now (since about 0.2.0-rc8n) the qozap driver has become very verbose if an ISDN line is not connected... I get the messages below every couple of seconds in the asterisk logs. The "flaw" in the messages is the "Alarm cleared" message - The alarm cannot possibly be cleared because there is no physical media connected into that port!!! (BTW - All

ISDN D-channel disconnects for a minute every 5 minutes
I have a problem with Asterisk-bristuffed using a zaphfc card. I am located in the Netherlands, so I have an ISDN line from KPN. When I start Asterisk, and plug in the ISDN line, everything works perfectly for about 5 minutes. And then the ISDN line is down for 1 minute, and after that minute, the line comes back up and works for another 5 minutes. Every time the line goes down I get the error
