I tried booting the paravirt patches on a real machine to see what would happen. It had worked OK under qemu, so I thought it would be worth it. Hi, I'm using initramfs with pivot_root mechanism to mount my real root directory. I notived the gentoo halt.sh script tries to unmount everything on shutdown. That includes /initrd.
