Hello ! I 've some questions how bridging of ISDN calls is done. Assume an asterisk system with a TE405 card equipped. (PRI1 - PRI4) An incoming ISDN call on PRI1 is transfered back to PRI3. Unless there is DTMF detection or other things involved, the bridging is done without Asterisk. Does this card have a some sort of cross connection ? Does the PCM leave the card ? Or is there some DMA

I changed from a TE410P to a TE411P and fax carriers weren't detected anymore ! I have tried everything (recompile zaptel+asterisk+spandsp ; echocancel=yes/no ; rxgain=0/txgain=0 ; increase Wait() ; ...), nothing worked. The only solution that worked for me was to install and use NVFaxDetect. HTH.

I am looking at the two Digium cards mentioned and am not sure if the echo cancelation is a must. The sever is a 2.8Ghz P4 with 2 GB of ram, and is only for routing PSTN connections to another * server. I have seen conflicting references in regards to the Digium Wildcard TE411P echo settings in zapata.conf. Does anyone have the official word on this? Should echo cancel be enabled in zapata.conf if the card has built in EC? If so, should a particular EC method be compiled into the zaptel build? The Orion echo canceller is just ok. The Tellabs units work just as well if you don't mind 10 mins of soldering. I have the orion running with an adit 600 and a TE110P. List, I just tried to swap out our 410 for a 411 and we started have problems with on of our T1's. Setup: Span 1 - Dedicated PRI for long distance. Span 2 - 12 channels fxs_gs outgoing local. 12 Channels em_w incoming DID's. I didn't have any problems with the PRI. The trouble was with the T1. We were unable to place any local calls, and all incoming DID's where garbled.
