Integrating with Toshiba Strata DK40i KSU
We've done a direct swap of an old Amanda voicemail system with a shiney new Asterisk system (Asterisk 1.0.9). The system consists of 4 FXO ports on the * box (TDM400P), and three old Wildcards we aren't using (too buggy we found). CO lines-> Toshiba -> FXO ports on * We want to branch out a little more and use it as an auto-attendant. The first problem seems to be an asterisk

Chan_capi 0.3.1 , Asterisk , 3 x C4 active ISDN card Segmentation fault
Hi, i use chan_capi 0.3.1 with asterisk (stable branch cvs) and 3 x c4 active ISDN card. From Controller 1 - 7 there are no problems making calls between asterisk and the pstn. But when i make calls from controller 8 - 12 i get on every controller (8 - 12) a segmentation fault in asterisk :( I tried different linux distributions (gentoo 2004.1, redhat 9.0 , suse 9.1) but same error.

Divert to arbitrary number.
Hi All, I am looking for a way to allow users to dial *21*, followed by a number and the pound key. Asterisk must then divert all incoming calls to the user's extension to the number given. I got it right halfway using a tip from http://ns1.jnetdns.de/jn/relaunch/asterisk/page6.html. Thanks to whomever is the contributor of the above tip. The problem is however, that the number to which

Incomming call line identification (NOT CallerID)
Hi, Ok, here is the setup. Asterisk conected to a PRI line (23 lines). 3 tool-free phone numbers are routed to this PRI line. Customer wants to have a way to have shown on the receptionist phone that the call comes from which of the 3 tool-free lines. Possibly display on the phone that the call comed from tool-free number 1, 2 ou 3 or even better a name or text id associated with this

te410p and Telstra Onramp 10
Hi, now that these cards have approval in Australia, has anyone had any luck in connecting them to a Telstra Onramp 10 service? Are these configured as a PRI, bchan=1-10, dchan=16 in zaptel.conf and switchtype=euroisdn in zapata.conf? Better yet anyone have any of the above .conf files they could share? Is an onramp 10 what is referred to as a 'channel bank'? Craig

DNID Digits - Australia
Hi, Yet another question, now that I have callerid working correctly, I'm trying to work out how to utilise the different numbers I have. I have a 100 number range allocated to my E1/PRI/OnRamp service. My incoming calls are handled like this: Advertised/published number is an analogue line terminating on a X101P. If the analog line is busy, it has a call diversion to the PRI on a TE405P

incoming calls dropout on PRI over TE110p
I am running Asterisk 1.0.9 and have been running all my calls through a VSP over a IAX2 trunk however we have recently purchased and connected a TE110p to a PRI ( E1 with 16 voice channels ) through Optus. I can make outgoing calls via it fine, however incoming calls are dropped after a few seconds ( or as soon as a command like Playback, or the call is picked up if forwarded to a SIP

Australian E1 from Optus still not working
I still can't get this thing to work. Outgoing calls are fine, incoming just hangup straight away. I get a lot of & characters in my logs, I'm wondering whether they're caused by some sort of bad data ? Mar 3 16:03:01 VERBOSE[10437]:

Optus Australia Multiline SHDSL service
Hi, I am currently trying to find a replacement for a dinosaur PBX and want to replace it with a VoIP solution. We have just moved our lines over to an Optus Multiline from a Telstra ISDN Onramp 30 service with 100 lines. My question for you good people is what sort of hardware do I need to interface Asterix into the Optus Multiline? The Optus service is terminated in my office to a SHDSL

sshd "bad protocol version identification" messages
I'm seeing lines like the following in my security logs: Oct 14 06:56:32 srv sshd[41370]: Bad protocol version identification '\200b\001\003\001' from 24.203.221.239 From what I've read, this is a buffer overflow attack on the sshd whereby the attacker triggers the overflow before the identification string is sent then attempts commands to see if elevated priveleges were

Bad protocol version identification from UNKNOWN (patch)
I was just helping someone track down why they were getting a "Bad protocol version identification" error for sshd, and I noticed that it was logging that the connection was coming from UNKNOWN. It looks like when this error condition is triggered, the socket is closed and then the error is logged. Unfortunately the logging calls get_remote_ipaddr, which returns UNKNOWN if there is no

Printing identification
Hi, Is it possible to enable samba so that when a user prints in windows, it attaches the users Novell login ID (instead of the windows username) to the printing logs so that when we look at the cups log, we can see which user printed what? Thanks Nolan
