How to manually add a new interface to a bridge device?
Tried that as well, but this has to be something that gets set at the OS level and loaded, as if you look at dmesg output, you can see all the vnet?? nodes as the OS comes online. So the question is, what is virt-install doing that creates the needed vnet interface that is part of the bridge. I really had to kill and reload the VM just to load a second interface..

Is this maillist down?
This is usually a very active list, but looking at my procmail log the last
message I have received arrived on:

Since that message there has been a gaping silence, any idea what is up, as I
am sure seeing mail from everything else. Actually I

How to manually add a new interface to a bridge device?
How do you decide what MAC address to use for that VM interface? As I just
tried to change the MAC to some other value close, like I made
'52:54:00:34:e1:21' into say '52:54:00:34:e1:32', and when I try and load it
in, I get the following:
error: XML error: Attempted double use of PCI Address '0:0:4.0'

Loading a FreeBSD 10 VM on QEMU-KVM..
I was trying to load a FreeBSD 10 VM on my CentOS 6.4 machine, and it keeps
hanging and not completing the boot. I have FBSD 9.x VM's running just
fine, but if I try and load 10.x it's a no go.
Attaching to the console using VNC, I see:

Help with Asterisk@home and Broadvoice incoming calls..
Hello everyone,
Well here is my initial posting to the list, and I will admit Asterisk is new
to me. I just got everything running here a couple days ago, so still learning
the ropes for sure.
OK, here is my problem. Currently I have it setup talking to a couple Cisco
IP phones, and some Xten softphones, this works great. I also got an account

How to manually add a new interface to a bridge device?
Maybe my google-fu is failing me, but I have spent the past couple hours
looking at how to add a vnet? Device to my KVM host running CentOS 6, and
for the life of me I can't get this going.
>From all my research if I want to add a device I should just do 'brctl addif
br1 vnet14' if I want to add a vnet14 to bridge br1. When I do this, I
get:
# brctl addif br0 vnet14

Ubuntu Auth Issues with new repository code..
? I hear what your saying, but if you read and follow the repo page, it
says run update, and then upgrade.?? Also as a test, I did remove the
old 2.2 code, and installed the new 2.3 code, and again authentication
fails.
?I am sure I may be missing something stupid, but the bottom line is,
how can I track down why it will not auth using PAM under the newer
code, when even looking at the auth

Getting a do_IRQ: xx.xxx No irq handler for vector (irq -1), any ideas?
I setup a CentOS 6 server to use with KVM/QEMU, and I am getting the
following error a good bit, granted it doesn't seem to be causing any
trouble. I figured I would post and see if anyone has any ideas on the
issue, or if I can just dismiss it.
If I look at my logging/dmesg, I see:
do_IRQ: 19.217 No irq handler for vector (irq -1)
do_IRQ: 3.178 No irq handler for vector (irq -1)

Ubuntu Auth Issues with new repository code..
?? Saw the new repository notification, and figured what the heck I
would try letting it upgrade me from the current v2.2.22 release that
apparently is in the Ubuntu 16.04 packages, to the new repository
release of v2.3.0.
?I followed the info on repo.dovecot.org, and first it started bitching
about lmtp (dovecot: master: Fatal: service(lmtp)

Can't rename mailboxes, any ideas on how to fix?
I am running Dovecot 2.1.12 under FreeBSD, and I use Outlook 2010 with imap
to connect to my server. I know I used to be able to rename mailboxes, as
I do this every year at year end, but when I went to rename some mailboxes
the start of this year, blamo up popped the message "CANNOT Renaming not
supported across conflicting directory permissions".
Then only thing that has really

Stumped on vMail problem, any ideas?
Hello all,
I think I have most of my AAH 1.3 setup running (Asterisk 1.0.9), but somehow
something is not quite right with my vMail setup. I would have sworn this was
all working, but maybe I was just dreaming.
Anyway here is what is happening, say I am on extension 200 and I want to
call to extension 201. If extension 201 is no connected, then it rolls right
into vMail with the message the

DID on TDM400P Question?
Does anyone know if the current TDM400 card can take DID digits from the LEC?
If so is there any reference to how to set this all up? As I get my current
service from my LEC over an IAD, so would be sweet to just have trunks, not
each channel specific to a number.
Also if the above is possible, if the line is being used for DID, then is
this only workable for inbound, or can I also seize the

TDM400p FXO module always offhook
I have a TDM400p with 3 FXS mods and 1 FXO mod. I have all set up with
what seems to be correct settings (according to digium and asterisk wiki).
As soon as I plug in my POTS line into FXO mod the line goes into offhook
state (whether I have power to the card or not). Should this happen?
When I try to call * box all I get is busy signal. I've installed stable

TDM400P lockups (FXO)
Hey all - we have two TDM400P cards in an SMP Redhat9 box, with 4 FXO
ports each running thel latest Asterisk CVS.
Users connect to this to share POTS lines using analog phones connected
to Sipura SPA-2000 boxes. All works reasonably well, except every day
(or more) a line will get "locked up". No other way to describe it
really -- the line just stops working, so if someone tries

T.38 on a MAX/Lucent/Ascend TNT
Hello folks,
I've been trying to get T.38 over SIP working with calls terminated by a
MAX/Lucent/Ascent TNT. As far as I can tell, SIP and T.38 are actually
working perfectly; however, I can't get the TNT to properly terminate a
FAX call. Does anyone have a working configuration for SIP and T.38 for
calls from a TNT or APX?
Here's a brief description/diagram of my test setup:

Issues with Ubuntu 14 as a guest VM, and network throughput..
I have a CentOS 6.5 server running as a host for about a dozen other VM's,
and all were running just fine. I had a mix of CentOS, Ubuntu, and FreeBSD
VM's running, no problem at all.
I then updated the Ubuntu VM's to the newer 14.x release, and that
installed a 3.13 linux kernel, and after that (which I didn't notice right
at the start) the network throughput outbound was

Stability of Asterisk with 2 x TDM400P cards (6 analogue lines)
I would like to hear from anyone good or bad as what their experience has
been in recent times with STABILITY of current builds of Asterisk and
drivers for TDM400P.
The sort of configuration is: 6 incoming POTS lines. ie. 2 TDM400P cards.
I am not concerned with: price points, or the advantages or disadvantages of
using POTS vs ISDN technology, but simply RELIABILITY & stability of the

How to manually add a new interface to a bridge device?
BTW, adding a 2nd virtual nic to a guest can also be done with command
line tools (I just googled this for you) :
https://kashyapc.fedorapeople.org/virt/add-network-card-in-guest.txt
( It came up as 1st result when I searched for: virsh add network
interface to existing guest )
But if you look at the bottom of this guide, they also mention that if
something goes wrong, they resort to using

How to manually add a new interface to a bridge device?
You most definitely do not need to destroy and re-create a VM just to
add a 2nd network interface.
I don't think those vnet interfaces got created by the host OS. I
believe those are created by KVM (or libvirt) when you start a VM. I
could be wrong though. But I just checked on my CentOS 6 KVM host
machine and I see as many vnet interfaces as many VMs are currently
running (or if one VM
