CLI and Dial
Hi! I have two Asterisk installations, one being a 1.09 bristuff installation and one 1.08 installation. In the 1.09 installation I have the "Dial" command available on the CLI, in the 1.08 installation I don't. My question is now: was that a new feature in 1.09 or is it a bristuff specific thing or is my 1.08 installation simply lacking features? Thanks, Christoph

lme: how to compare random effects in two subsets of data
Dear R-gurus, I have an interpretation problem regarding lme models. I am currently working on dog locomotion, particularly on some variation factors. I try to figure out which limb out of 2 generated more dispersed data. I record a value called Peak, around 20 times for each limb with a record. I repeat the records during a single day, and on several days. I tried to build two models, one

Ordering BRI From AT&T
Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have a business customer in the U.S. (Michigan, AT&T Territory). I need to get 4 trunks into an asterisk Box. My intention is to use an Eicon Diva Server card with 2 BRI Circuits. The reason for this is that the business needs DID's on the trunks (20 of them). A full or fractional PRI is overboard for them, as they will

digits won't play
Hi! I have a strange problem. In an AGI I tell Asterisk to playback a number, for example 31. I then use the AGI SAY NUMBER command and I only hear "thirty" and then get: -- Playing 'digits/30' (language 'de') Sep 29 11:47:40 WARNING[3401]: file.c:475 ast_openstream: File does not exist in any format Sep 29 11:47:40 WARNING[3401]: file.c:787 ast_streamfile: Unable

[LLVMdev] Optimizing math code
Hello LLVM-dev, I’m writing some crypto math code in C, and trying to make it as simple and portable as possible, so that there won’t be any unforeseen platform bugs. Ideally, I’d like the compiler to as much work as possible for me, and I’m wondering if you know how to make clang (or gcc, for that matter) do some of this. So I have a couple of questions. If this is the wrong list to ask for

AT&T Researchers and the New York Times
Is anyone in the leadership of the R-project going to contact the New York Times and clarify that the article gave remarkably short shrift to the people who designed the user interface for R, to a large extent AT&T researchers from an earlier generation? It would be the appropriate thing to do. The R team did not develop the user interface for R, the designers of the S programming language

Route P2P on separate link
Hello, Is there a way to route p2p traffic on a separate ISP connection, just as you would choose a separate connection for http traffic? I tried all sorts of setups based on: http://www.braindump.dk/en/wiki/?wikipage=PolicyRouting but with no luck. Please help :) (ipp2p is up and running) _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list / LARTC@mailman.ds9a.nl

multiple 2 by 2 crosstabulations?
Hello, I have a dataframe (var_1, var_2, ..., var_n) and I would like to export summary statistics to Latex in the form of a table. I want specific summary statistics by crossing numerous variables 2x2 AT ONCE. In each cell I would like sometimes to have the median (Q1 - Q3), or frequency and proportion, etc. CrossTable, xtab, etc... do not allow for multiple 2 by 2 crosstabulation. The table

file system replication
Hi Everyone, I need to keep 2 systems identical. Mostly e-mail directories, web directories, mysql, etc. The goal here is to have a 2nd system ready to go it the first one starts to exhibit hardware issues. What are options to have this happen? I'm going out on a limb and thinking rsync but I haven't used it past just simple use cases. Can anyone provide some insight for me? CentOS

User picks up phone, hears another call, not dialtone
First of all - Many, many thanks to Mark for his troubleshooting and fix of bug 1320 (FXO_KS signalled Zap Channels on Adtran 750 Channel Bank Stuck in Rsrvd State). I have heard complaints that once every couple weeks, when a user picks up their analog phone (t1 span off of a TE410P into an Adtran 750 with 6 FXS cards), they don't get dialtone, but instead, hear another conversation.

[LLVMdev] Bignum development
Hi all, After searching for a decent compiler backend for ages (google sometimes isn't helpful), I recently stumbled upon LLVM. Woot!! I work on bignum arithmetic (I'm a professional mathematician) and have recently decided to switch from developing GPL'd bignum code to BSD licensed code. (See http://www.mpir.org/ which I contributed to for a while - a fork of GMP). Please bear with
