Dell 1750 & TDM400P - Power
Has anyone come up with a way to get power to a TDM400P card installed
in a Dell PowerEdge 1750?
Thanks,
Adam

Digium TDM400P in Soekris net5501-70?
Hello -
I've been running Asterisk (quite happily!) for several years now
using a Digium TDM400P card in an old Linux box (P4 1.6 w/ 256MB RAM).
I'm also running another old PC running m0n0wall as a firewall.
Between these two boxes, that run 24x7, I'm drawing a lot more power
than needed and hoping to make a dent in my monthly electric bill by
consolidating the two into a single box

Is it mandatory to give power supply toTDM400Pcard
That was my thought too. Even if it *does* work without it, there may be
a reason internally you can't see why it is required. (Ex. Putting extra
stress on a component causing it to fail in 6 months)

Is it mandatory to give power supply to TDM400Pcard
Is it not for a card with 4 FXO? I spent several hours the other day
trying to figure out what I had done wrong and I ahd forgotten to
connect the power cable.
I setup several of these before and couldn't figure out why this one
didn't work. It appears that's all it waqs.
Without the power connecter the card will probe, and even appear to be
working but when the lines ring (coming

Query about tdm410 cards
Hi
recently bought a soekris net5501 and a tdm410 to place in there.
I am having some issues attaching 12V power to the card via the molex
card - basically the box for the motherboard is too small.
I have read up about a PWR2400b and it seems to use 2wire pin, I am
guessing to connect to P8 just behind the molex connector on the tdm410.
can any one here confirm this, or have any info on the

void your warranty and get a 3.3V/5V TE405P
http://www.mixdown.ca/~asterisk/
The card seems to be working fine. Don't expect warranty on it though. :-)
Why? Because I wanted a quad-span T1 card which worked in the high-end
systems I was intending it for, but that I could also keep a few in stock and
if the system mainboard failed, pull the card an put it in a standard PC
system. I didn't want to have to stock 3.3V and 5V

E100P works with PCI 3.3V and 5V?
Hi,
I just bought the E100P from digium. It has both
keys: 3.3V and 5V, so it would fit both, in a 5V-PCI
slot and in a 3.3V PCI slot.
Is it true, that I can plug it without destroying it in an
ordenary 5V PCI slot?
Roger.

5v capable motherboards
Anyone have a suggestion on where I can get a decent new MB with 5v
capable PCI slots. It seems like every decent server MB on the market
has 3.3V slots only.
Is diving into the junkbin my only choice if I can't afford to replace
the 5v quad-T1 wildcard?
Thanks

FXS, Power and Sangoma
Hi
I've a Sangoma A200D with 2FXO and 2FXS. When using it with only
the FXO module, it's all good. But when I put in the FXS module and
connect the power, logs tells me not enough power.

Raid / dual Opteron power issues
Hi All,
I've just started caring for a dual Opteron machine. It has a 3Ware
9500S-12 RAID controller, a Tyan S2882G3NR motherboard, 10 IBM 400GB
disk drives, and a 650 watt power supply.
It has been behaving itself quite nicely until recently. The poor
behavior started when I upgraded the OS from CentOS 4.1 (32 bit) to
Centos 4.1 (x86_64). When running in uniprocessor mode, the system

PRI caller ID
Below is a snipped debug on our PRI. We are getting number only for the
CallerID but the telco says they are sending us Name and Number. We are
getting the Name in a second frame but Asterisk is not passing it to the
device it rings. The message below says "Presenation allowed of network
provided number" which leads me to believe Asterisk thinks it should not
be displaying it. Can anyone

Dell PowerEdge 2850
Hello,
Digium uses the Dell PE 2850 for their testing. This site says that 3.3V PCI slot.
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+hardware
We are planning on purchasing a Dell PE 2850 and putting a TE205P card on it. However, the needs a 5V PCI slot. Does Dell PE 2850 has a 5V PCI slot? A person in our group tried to call Dell's customer support but they do not seem to know.

Newbie Question: Building an Asterisk systemtoreplace an old PBX but using existing phone
The only phones I have much experience with are the sipura spa-841's,
the netweb 301/302 phones (which I really don't like) and the polycom
300/301's. It applies to the sipuras and the polycom's for sure.
I can't remember about the netweb, we quit using them sometime last
year.

APC Back UPS and Best Power FERRUPS?
Lately I got (used) an APC Back UPS Pro 1000 and Back UPS NS 1080. I got
an ethernet-to-USB cable from another UPS, but the Pro isn't detected
(with usbhid-ups.) I haven't tried the NS yet but it seems to not be on
the list though looks just like the Pro.
Some months ago I was discussing setup of a Ferrups 700VA. I got it to
work only with a command in rc.local, but not automatically

Soekris net4801 and analog interface?
Is anyone using a net4801 and an analog only setup? I am looking for a
modem that is PCI 3.3V, apparently the X100P is 5.0V PCI only so it
won't work with the net4801.

Server recommendation help
I am having a issues with adding a analog card to my dell 2800. I
already have a t1 card installed and running fine but when I install the
analog card asterisk will not start (ztcfg fails). I have determined it
is because of a IRQ problem and have decided to get a new server. Can
anyone suggest a server grade setup that supports this? I would rather
not buy a machine that will be unstable. I

HT 486
Does anyone know if the HandyTone 486 has the option to turn the two
ethernet ports into either a switch/hub, or does it have to do NAT ?
Thank you,
