How to let ZAPHFC work with and act on different incoming MSNs?
Hi all,
I'm struggling some time now with this problem. Googling and searching
on this topic did not deliver the answer yet, so my last hope is this
list.
Analogue to the things which are possible with modem.conf, where I can
configure the MSN's to act on, I would like to have similar
functionality.
This is the idea:
I have 1 ISDN line, it can be reached by 4 different MSN's.

zaphfc: empty HDLC frame or bad CRC received
Hi, i've downloaded/compiled/installed the bristuffed asterisk
Asterisk 1.0.7-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC8a
and i'm using it with an hfc card. It runs on a debian 3.1 sarge machine
with kernel 2.6.11. Asterisk works well if i configure the card using
isdn4linux.
I'm having problems dialing out (not tried the input yet).
This is the output from asterisk:

bad sound ISDN bristuff
Hello * users
I've problems with sound quality on zaphfc
Asterisk works fine good sound quality.
If I do "make load" in the bristuf.xx zaphfc dir then sound quality
drops directly.
Even if I don't load the chan_zap in the modules.conf
I use this config on more (even old 400Mhz machines) and works correctly.
Looks like an hardware problem but I can't find it.

ISDN D-channel disconnects for a minute every 5 minutes
I have a problem with Asterisk-bristuffed using a zaphfc card.
I am located in the Netherlands, so I have an ISDN line from KPN. When I
start Asterisk, and plug in the ISDN line, everything works perfectly for
about 5 minutes. And then the ISDN line is down for 1 minute, and after that
minute, the line comes back up and works for another 5 minutes. Every time
the line goes down I get the error

Ugly echo cancel, with Bristuff/Zaphfc
I'm using bristuffed Asterisk with ISDN/ZAPHFC
I have VERY ugly (outgoing) sound through ISDN/HFC if echocancel=yes in

Through PSTN/FXO sound is ok with or without echocancel.
I tried other echo cancellers (in zconfig.h) two times:

debian/dahdi/zaphfc - Unable to receive TEI from network!
Hello,
The harddisk of my etch/bristuffed asterisk1.2 box finally died. I moved
the cheap (1397:2bd0) HFC-S card to a squeeze host (i686) and built
dahdi modules 2.3.0.1 using m-a. After zaptel->dahdi and asterisk
1.2->1.6 config adaptations, everything seems ok, except for the BRI
side, unable to bring layers 1/2 up.

zaphfc / incoming call - error 6
Hi Folks,
I've Asterisk Bristuffed up and running behind an Auerswald Commander
Basic ISDN PBX on the internal ISDN Bus (BRI/PTMP). The HFC Card works
marvelleous for outgoing calls (as the parallely installed avm fritzcard
with chan_capi does), but when I'm trying to call in, I get a short ring
signal and then the connection is terminated. This does not happen with
chan_capi and

AW: zaphfc problem
Hi,
I solved the Problem:
the context defined in zaptel.conf:
context = zapincoming
was not in extensions.conf, so nothing worked. ( I assumend this context
is only necessary for calls from zaptel, not to it)
This may be a bug: in the verbose log I found nothing like "[chan_zap]
Could not initialize ..., due to ....", this had helped alot and had
saved alot of hours (-;

How to use * and # as part of number in dial command
Hi all,
I am struggling with the following and I can't get it work:
In the Netherlands where I live it is possible to use special codes
(aka vertical service codes) to set special 'behaviour' of phonecalls.
So e.g. when I want to dial out with a normal phone and I dial
*31*<phonenumber to dial> then it will turn off my numberindication
(CID) at the called party. They seem to

bristuff-0.2.0-RC8h does not compile
Hi,
it helps to have configured and working kernel sources installed.
Configure your kernel sources for the running kernel and then run
"make" in the kernel source dir to build the necessary scripts.
You dont have to wait until the kernel is compiled.
best regards
Klaus

How to use * and # as part of number indialcommand
Michel
Send me the same output for a dial string that only sends the *31*
Is this an ISDN line? What type of card/signalling/switchtype are you
using?
It looks as if the PSTN switch accepts the *31* and then hangs up so you
can make the NEXT call with the *31* feature enabled. If so I assume the
*31* feature will be enabled for the next call on the ENTIRE SPAN if it
is an ISDN trunk group.

ISDN Bridging with Bristuff
Hello,
I tried to read Bristuff source code to understand the way calls are bridged from one BRI port to another (as HFC cards have "active channel switching capability").
Doing so I looked at zaphfc.c file which seems to be the only .c file constituting bristuff but I may be wrong I'm far from being an expert on this.
I found 4 functions (hfc_btrans, hfc_brec, hfc_dtrans,

RX/TXgain on bristuff/zaptel ?
Do bristuffed zaptel (zaphfc) supporting rxgain/txgain in zapata.conf?
I'm changing rxgain in zapata.conf, and reloading zaptel, but sound
level on ISDN(HFC) is always the same (loud).
