Dialplan mapping for multiple outbound providers to determine best rates
Hello All,
Right now I have several providers. Voipjet, Teliax, and more recently
Broadvoice.
Broadvoice gives me unlimited to europe, but what I want to do is
determine the best way to setup a dialplan so for example, certain
countries will go through the cheapest route.
I am really only interested in Poland, Russia and Turkey. Poland is free
on broadvoice, but not for cellular, which I may

Broadvoice does it again
Hi folks,
It seems that BV has messed it up yet again.
I noted this weekend that any call going in or out had no incoming
audio. All my other SIP providers seem to be OK. Is anyone else having
this problem?
Perhaps it's time to move on. What providers do you recommend that
provide unlimited US/Canada and Western Europe?
Thanks

broadvoice NCFA numbers
I just tried to call a NCFA number that is known working in the UK (+44
0870 ..) and got a US message from broadvoice 'that number is not in
service please check the number and try again'. I am wondering if it is
my setup or if broadvoice no longer provides unlimited access to those
numbers.
Could someone else verify if this is the case? It is still listed on
their rate page as

Broadvoice - Last Straw!
I have always been an advocate for Broadvoice. Their service although is a
little shoty at times has been an extremely cheap service that works with
Asterisk. 19.99 a month for unlimited (Some say now really unlimited but I
average 3500 minutes a month so pretty fine for me) calling and to several
different countries. But I am on my last straw with them. The latest is
somehow my primary and

Help with broadvoice outbound plz... ;)
*sigh*
Ok, I have fought and fought with this. I have read all the FAQ's, I have
scanned the list archives. I can receive calls on * from my Broadvoice
acct, but I cannot place calls...
I have the 'World Unlimited' plan, and like 5 area codes that are local to
me in Dallas.
Can anyone help me?

ReInvite X Broadvoice
I've been wondering for a long time why my reinvite option is not working with
Broadvoice anymore. It happend during the time Broadvoice was having a lot of
issues, so I decided to wait.
Recently I decided to test the same sip.conf with another VSP (SIPphone) and it
worked fine! No issues on the reinvite.

More on Broadvoice w/Asterisk (1.4.18)
Hi folks,
I'm running Asterisk 1.4.18 on Mac OS X. I'm using Broadvoice to
connect external numbers with this system. So, what I'm dealing with
here are inbound calls.
The problem is that I'm not able to get DTMF in. I am behind NAT, but
I've made sure that the IT folks here have opened and port-forwarded all
the necessary ports. This is borne out by the fact that I

Restrict outbound calls on Broadvoice
Hello,
I have been researching Asterisk and have a few questions. Is it possible to allow users to only call certain area codes? Reason for this is that the plan from BroadVoice allows unlimited calling to certain countries. Any country outside of this plan would be charged on a per minute basis and I am trying to avoid that.
Another question is if there is a way to distinguish a land line

broadvoice replacement
Does anyone know of a BYOD provider that terminates calls to NCFA
numbers (UK 'national rate'). I enjoyed broadvoices unlimited to those
numbers, but this is getting silly now, it doesnt work and no answer if
after switching to a new provider it will ever work.
Can anyone suggest an alternative provider that serves NCFA?

Fwd: Re: Broadvoice latest changes and still not working- An Additional Server ****SOLVED****
This configuration solved my problem. I could have sworn I tried this
before. I guess not. I did not need to apply the patch. Also, I am using a
regular Registration setup in my sip.conf not broadvoice's funky one...
The only thing I can surmise is that order of the variables matters.
This is what worked for me:

user=phone
host=sip.broadvoice.com

Suggestions for reliable DID provider forCanada, USA and Europe
I've had some serious issues with Teliax as of late with their "new"
Denver server. DTMF issues, IAX2 connection issues, and major latency
issues. They are blaming it on "1.2 vs 1.4 asterisk compatibility
issues". I have had zero problems with their old servers.
Voicepulse has been WAY better, but no flat charges, no 729.
Frankly, even my broadvoice (yikes!)

Broadvoice international dialling question
I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.
I have a Broadvoice trunk attached to Asterisk which I use for frequent
calls to the UK using the following in extensions.conf
exten => _0[1-68].,1,Ringing
exten => _0[1-68].,2,Dial(SIP/BV/01144${EXTEN:1})
exten => _0[1-68].,3,Hangup
The caller hears immediate ringing, though it seems that Broadvoice

Broadvoice versus Asterisk 1.4.25.1 and 1.4.26
---------------
Hi,
I got hit with a funny one today; my configuration, which had been
running fine for many weeks, suddenly stopped registering with
Broadvoice's SIP. I switched among BV SIP hosts, verified my account
was OK, even tried upgrading Asterisk. The weird thing was that I could
associate OK with my WiFi SIP phone. So it looked like an Asterisk-
specific SIP interoperability

Providers for PSTN Access
Hi,
I've been looking at the various SIP VoIP service providers and their
plans. I understand that Asterisk can be configured as a SIP client to
access, for example, a BroadVoice account to access the PSTN and discount
LD.
I see that a lot of the features provided by SIP VoIP service providers
are really not needed since Asterisk will provide them locally. I have no
plans on dropping my

RE: Asterisk at home with Broadvoice?
As a general rule of thumb it would be good to make the distinction
between 'Credit Card' and 'Debit Card' too.
If possible, never ever use a debit card for online purchases.
It taps directly into your account and removes REAL money.
Credit cards are 'virtual' money in that they are credit and your cash
in account remains untouched.
That way if your credit card account

broadvoice??
Does anyone have any useful contact information for Broadvoice? I've
been unable to call Argentina from my Broadvoice line for almost a
month now. Their techs keep telling me they're "looking into it" but
I get no real information. I've had several other tickets open for
almost 8 months now.
I called their PR company this morning and apparently they dropped

prevent non-free calls
Dear Asterisk-Users,
does anyone know how to prevent non-free calls to Broadvoice Unlimited
World ?
This first thing I did is I accept only that coutry prefixes (in
extensions.conf) that are in the Unlimited World dialplan.
I was also able to filter out german cell phones (cause they begin with
1 and no landline is beginning with 1). US is also no problem as cell
phone calls are unlimited

WANTED: Toll-Free gateways in Europe/Asia/Africa/South America
The freenum.org project wants to use your trunks! The freenum.org project is an ENUM parallel tree, which has as an eventual goal the distribution of ENUM numbering in nations or areas which due to political or other issues are not able to get secure, inexpensive, or functional ENUM capabilities.
As a preliminary round, we're putting toll-free gateways into the system for various nations.
