h323 CALL PROBLEM TO / FROM AVAYA(UCENT)inity
May be force be with you
hello,
We want to make H323 calls beteen asterisk and avaya(lucent) pbx.
We create node-name,H.323 signaling group,trunk,
but we can not make H.323 calls to asterisk. Also no warnings exist in
debug.
Instead of giving the IP of Asterisk ,i give my computer's IP and run
SJPhone ith H.323 GUI.
In this time, connection is established.
SJPhone accepts H323 calls but

Using Lucent/Avaya 64XX sets with asterisk
Hi all,
I am new to asterisk, but experienced with Linux and Avaya/Lucent G3R
hardware/software. We currently have a large inventory of spare Lucent
64XX phone sets. I'm considering setting up an asterisk system for a
remote office, and would like to use the Lucent sets because they are
cheap, and familiar to my end users. Does anyone know of a card that
can drive these sets? I think

Lucent Avaya Partner ACS T1 module
I'm trying to connect an Asterisk system to an Avaya Partner ACS R6
system. The problem I'm having is that I cannot get the partner system
to get CallerID over the T1 modlue. The partner is using the T1 with E
& M signalling (which I don't think can be changed), and whatever I
tried didn't work. My only option right now is to get FXS ports on the
Avaya side plugged into the

Avaya/Lucent Definity -> Asterisk interop question
Calling all Definity admins,
Got a few questions about Definity -> Asterisk interoperability.
1) What are the options for integration? Can I hand off extensions from the
Definity and vice versa?
2) Anybody have any working configs they would like to post?
I've found and read the legacy integration on the wiki about the two
systems. I've also googled and found a few threads that were

Asterisk Integration with Lucent Definity g3 si
We have had quite a bit of success with our T100P and TE410P cards
interfacing to Nortel Meridian PBXes and also to a Livingston Portmaster 3
using ESF/B8ZS and various combinations of E&M wink and ISDN PRI (usually in
5ESS mode).
In the near future, I may also need to interface to a Definity via a T1. I
was planning to use PRI--is that an option for you on your switch?

Asterisk Integration with Lucent Definity g3si
Hi everyone,
We have been working with Asterisk for a while now and would really
like to expand its capabilities by fully integrating it with our Definity
g3si and are wondering about other peoples experiences with similar setups.
Thus far we have only been able to achieve a partial 1 way integration, but
ultimately would love to route inbound voip calls to the asterisk out of the
lucent.

Lucent Definity + Asterisk Success!
Hey Everyone,
Thanks for helping with this integration, I finally got it working!
I have inbound and outbound dialing from/to the asterisk box via a pri line!
I would definitely like to contribute this information to the wiki so we can
fill in some of the information gaps there. In the short term I wrote up
what I did and scanned in all of the nescessary screen prints from the
lucent into a pdf

Lucent and ISDN-PRI
Hi Everyone,
So I have been further exploring the integration of our asterisk server and
our lucent definity g3si system. I took the suggestion of setting up an
isdn-pri line added the two way tie trunk and the signalling group, but
can't seem to get the PRI signalling working on the asterisk correctly. I've
set pri type to network on the lucent, and pri_cpe in zapata on the
asterisk, but

Asterisk as the recording server for Avaya Definity
Has anyone tried to replace Witness or Nice recorder with asterisk. I saw a nice article on voip-info.org on how to replace voicemail server for Avaya Definity with asterisk.
The idea behind is to record not only the external channels but also extension to extension (three way calling for which the third leg is asterisk PRI will do)
Any suggestion will highly help

H.323 Trunk between Asterisk 11 and Avaya
Hello,
I'm trying to create a H.323 trunk between Asterisk 11 and Avaya. I have
done this before between Asterisk 1.6 and Avaya but had some issues placing
external calls from the Asterisk to the Public network which is connected
to Avaya. I'm trying to create that trunk on Asterisk 11 because the 1.6 is
outdated and has no support.
On the Asterisk side I have Aastra 6731i SIP phones

Two questions for Asterisk setup (Definity G3R and NFAS Trunk Gro ups)
Hi,
I'm a lab manager / supervisor at our labs. We've had Asterisk in
use for over a year directly hooked to the PSTN - a no brainer for
configuration (although I had to fix some AT&T specific things in libpri).
Right now I have two big challenges. One is to hook our box up lineside to
a Lucent Definity G3R. Avaya is chasing this from their end, but we had the
highest level of

AVAYA H.323 IP phone account and Asterisk
Hi
I've a softphone account to a AVAYA H.323 system, basically, it has a
numeric ID (which is the extension number) and a numeric password.
Instead of using the default AVAYA softphone (H.323), can I make asterisk as
a H.323 client and login to the AVAYA system via any one of its h323
modules?

Asterisk with Avaya
Hi !
I am trying to connect Asterisk with Avaya Definity.
I use this tutorial to do this http://cyril-constantin.blogspot.com/2008/04/howto-connect-avaya-to-asterisk.html
The comunication between avaya and asterisk is fine but without sound. I can call from Asterisk to Avaya and extension ring or Avaya to Asterisk and extension ring too but I cant hear anything

Asterisk and Avaya IP phones
The company I work for has deployed an Avaya IP phone system. They have
deployed the Avaya 4602 and 4620 IP telephones. They might be sending
me one of these phones for use in my home office.
Question: Can I make this IP telephone register and work with my
Asterisk server? I don't know if it is a SIP phone? I searched thru
the Avaya site, but can't find whether it's a SIP phone or

Avaya 8300 - Asterisk integration using H.323
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone on this group has successfully integrated Avaya 8300 or 8700 and Asterisk using H.323 trunk and would be willing to share configurations and/or comment on the voice quality achieved.
Currently we have Avaya 8300 integrated with Asterisk over a Q.SIG trunk, but we need to put Asterisk in a different geographical location from the PBX and need to explore

First Post: Any existing AVAYA Switch -> Asterisk Voicemail configs?
This is my first post, so please feel free to direct me to another list
if needed.
I am in the early stages of researching Asterisk. I administer a small
Avaya Definity G3 switch (~400 users).
Can anyone point my to resources/documents/actual implementation notes
of using Asterisk's voicemail with an Avaya Definity switch?
Many thanks,

Avaya to Asterisk via H323
I am tasked with linking an Avaya Definity switch to an asterisk box using
it's IP card that handles H.323. All my googles turn up a lot of results but
nothing recent. I am able to find instructions but they are dated from 2005,
and often fail halfway through.
What is the best way to achieve what I want, which is two way calling
between the Avaya switch and Asterisk server using h.323, and
