similar to: cat 5 'joiner'? (polycom 500 problem)

When I bought two Polycom 501 SIP phones, I naively thought they were Power-over-Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) because they were "powered over ethernet." Silly me. Polycom must have some odd voltage or funny way of injecting the power, because the POE switch I bought for them (Netgear F@510P) won't power them, though if I use the Polycom-supplied AC adapter and ethernet power

Is there an easy way to make sure that a joiner entry is removed when either part of a habtm is destroyed? I can remove the entry manually but i wondered if there was a option i could specify in the relationship declaration (like :dependent=>true). Thanks, Steve

Hi listers, I am looking for people who have used Power over Ethernet switches, primarily in conjunction with Polycom IP 501's. I've been looking at the Linksys SRW224P, since I've had good luck with the SRW224 in our office. However, Nortel, Cisco, Adtran, etc. all have an offering, all of which vary in price. Hi there, what phones are available that have two ethernet ports? I want to do some cabling at a new installation and i heard there are such phones (SIP i guess) out there. Hello, Does anybody have the latest Boot ROMs for the IP500 and IP 600 Polycom phones. I have one of each and can't find the Boot ROM v 3 anywhere to download. I would also love a good sample phone.cfg and sip.cfg files from an Aussie asterisk user to look at. Also the ip500 is having problems trying to load the bootrom 2.6.2 ? Any ideas?
