Not answering inbound a line used for outbound
Hi, I've dug a bit through the wiki and the mailing lists, and haven't really seen anything like this, but there must be someone out there doing this. Basically, there is a fax line that I don't want to answer inbound, but I want it available to do dial out from. Right now, we are using a busy wait around the ringing line, but I was hoping for something that might be a little more

TDM400P FXO channel hookstate always "Offhook" & outbound digits sent before provider dialtone
I have an Asterisk@Home 1.3 server (Asterisk 1.0.9) and recently added a TDM400P with (1) FXO card on port 4. Inbound calls are always successful but outbound calls fail 75% of the time with intercept messages from my dial tone provider that include "we're sorry, your call did not go through", and "we're sorry, when placing a local call it is now necessary to dial an area

problems with TDM400P
Hi, We have two of these 4 port FXO cards. However, we are having some problems with incoming/outgoing calls. The latest version of Asterisk/zaptel from CVS is being used. Voicemail, internal SIP <-> SIP calls between Pingtel xpressa hard phones work terrific, echotest is fine, and so on. The zaptel and wcfxs modules load fine, and show all 8 FXO interfaces in dmesg:

X100P keeping PSTN line Offhook
Happens quite often. X100P FXO card puts the PSTN line offhook, so that no calls go out or come in. The outside callers get a busy siganl while inside callers cant dial PSTN. Its a DELL optiplex P3 128MB ram 500MHz processor. Here is some more info: (see the zapata.conf in the end) Please direct me where to look for problem. Zaptel FXO offhook when connected to PSTN
I installed Trixbox and a TDM400P with 2 FXO and 2 FXS ports and am having an annoying issue with the FXO ports. As soon as I plug either one into the phone line it's as though the line is disconnected i.e. get disconnected tone when trying to dial out, line is busy when dialling in. The CLI shows the following: trixbox1*CLI> zap show channel 4 Channel: 4 File Descriptor: 18 Span: 11*

Echo issues (again...)
OK... so I'm not sure what I'm looking at. I've had the good old echo problems on my Rev C FXO again this morning, so I thought I'd attempt some debugging, though I'm not sure what I'm looking at. This call has echo. Channel: 2 File Descriptor: 20 Span: 1I> Extension: Dialing: no Context: incoming Caller ID string: "External Call" <99999999> Destroy:

X100P outbound only (Don't answer)
I tried implementing my * and it didn't pass the spouse factor at this time. I wanted to hook it up for outbound only at this point to get a better handle on the dial plans and the echo problem. I thought this might have been done before as a natural part of testing - but maybe not. In wcfxo.c I found this: if (!wc->offhook && !wc->ringdebounce) { if

What makes TDM400 FXS Connection to TELCO go into Off Hook State?
I've been having trouble with making outbound calls to my TELCO from a TDM400 card (FXS KS signalling) after upgrading from 1.6-beta9 to 1.6.0. The problem is completely intermittent. When it fails, I get this message: [Nov 9 19:12:26] WARNING[18916] app_dial.c: Unable to create channel of type 'DAHDI' (cause 0 - Unknown) At some point, it starts working, but I don't know what

Excessive Asterisk delay to answer on ZAP inbound call
Hi, I have an asterisk 1.2.1 on a Debian Sarge distro with *three* TDM400P (12 fxo ports). I noticed Asterisk is slow to answer inbound calls so I connected an analog phone in parallel to make a test: __________Asterisk fxo ---- line -----| -----------------Analog phone The analog phone rings immediately when calling, while asterisk shows the message

Voicemail and Zapatel
My PSTN line doesn't allways hang up properly after it goes to voicemail. The problem occurs when a caller hangs up during the initial greeting. Even though the hangup accured, voicemail continues to record, usually a fast busy and/or a teleco generated "please hangup now" message. After the voicemail.conf 'maxmessage=180' expires the line simply stays offhook. The hardware

TDM OnHook/OffHook
My TDM400P w/ 4 FXO cards seems to have trouble with onhook/offhook switching. It dials perfectly, but does not seem to be changing the onhook/offhook state appropriately. It changes sometimes, but it's not really reliable. For example: When I booted the machine, it started as onhook. It remained "onhook" through the entire first call (which was silent on both ends --

Sipura 3000 PSTN disconnect in the UK
Anyone else got a Sipura 3000 in the UK? Apart from CID not working it also seems to not notice any of the line state changes on the PSTN when the remote party terminates the call. It only recognises the offhook signal which gets sent much later. Chris

TDM400p FXO module always offhook
I have a TDM400p with 3 FXS mods and 1 FXO mod. I have all set up with what seems to be correct settings (according to digium and asterisk wiki). As soon as I plug in my POTS line into FXO mod the line goes into offhook state (whether I have power to the card or not). Should this happen? When I try to call * box all I get is busy signal. I've installed stable version, cvs version, change

Zap and call pickup -- it don't work.
The problem: T100P connected to an Adit600. Channel 1-16 are FXS, 17-24 FXO. I have Zap/24 in callgroup 3 and Zap/1-16 in pickupgroup 3. When a call comes in on Zap/24 I cannot pick it up with *8 from Zap/1-16. *CLI> show version Asterisk CVS-04/27/04-23:48:08 built by root@tuck on a i686 running Linux The zapata.conf and extensions.conf are located here:

TDM400 (TDM11B) configuration
I have fixed this before, but I cannot for the life of me remember how I did it. I have a TDM400P with one fxo module and one fxs module. I setup Asterisk @Home and everything works fine, except when I try and call out. If I call out with a SIP phone it calls the zap extension and not the pstn line? If I take the zap extension offhook and call with the SIP phone it dials out the pstn line

log incoming calls without answering
Hi, I've some analogic lines and I'm asked if it's possible to program an asterisk for "checking" the inbound calls without answering them, doing something like this: analog line 1 -----+---------- asterisk | \______ analog phone when a call enter, asterisk sense it and store its values (callerid, date and time, etc) somewhere, but

Cisco 79XX phones not talking to asterisk
Hi all, I have setup my Cisco 79XX phone. Did the tftp, put the config files in the right location with the right names. Booted my phone, it does the tftp things, the screen shows my extensions everything seems fine. However, when I come offhook and try to dial 11 which is just a playback of demo-congrats in the dialplan the phone says Calling Out (INV) below is my sip.conf file - I presume it
