FXO/FXS cpu spikes, data loss and ztclock.
Digging further into the FXO cpu spike vs clock issue, I removed the 18.432 MHZ crystal from an FXO card and replaced it with a 20.000 MHZ crystal. This of course forced the zaptel timing way off ~ 93% accurate using ztclock. I then proceeded to modify the wcfxo.c driver source code to set the proper PLL divider values to return the DAA clock back to 8 Khz. I came up with the values of N1=25,

SpanDSP issues (oh fun!)
I am having classic "frame slip" symptoms on 4 different systems with 4 different providers (all full PRIs, Qwest, XO, Xspedius, and First Digital are the providers). By classic I mean pages cut short. I do not hear clicks on calls however, and faxing from a fax machine plugged into the asterisk box via an fxs port (no VoIP) faxes just fine through the PRI. Also, faxing directly from

zaptel wont compile errors on zttest
Hi all, I'm unable to complete the installation of zaptel. I did a checkout today from cvs. When I do make clean; make install. It gives me an error at this portion of the installation: /include/linux/modversions.h -DSTANDALONE_ZAPATA -c wct4xxp.c cc -I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE -DSTANDALONE_ZAPATA -c -o ztcfg.o ztcfg.c cc -c -fPIC -I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE

Zaptel and zttest
I am having trouble with zttest on a Tyan board, dual AMD Opteron's on FC3. Tried different kernels, no IRQ sharing, everything looks in order. My zaptel modules load fine, but if I run zttest, it just hangs. Below is the strace output and you can see where it stops. Anyone have any ideas? [root@asterisktest zaptel]# strace ./zttest execve("./zttest", ["./zttest"],

zttest - 100% ?
Hi, I would like to know what type of configuration could get me closer to 100% hits in zttest, when testing a TDM400P with 4 FXO ports, I am currently running kernel 2.4.31, on a IBM Xseries 306, with 3gh CPU, HT is disabled, PCI latency was changed, i still cant get more then 99.975% in the zttest testings, Thanks for any info. Marco.

kjournald and zttest results
Hello! While performing some zttest's for some time today, I was also keeping an eye of a top of the machine. While the zttest was running, I also had a ssh-keygen and a dd creating a 5GB file on an EXT3 partition running. I noticed that for the most part, I got a decent number of 100%'s, and a bunch of 99.6%'s or higher. However, it seems that whenever the zttest dropped

Dreadful results from zttest with TE210P and Dell 2850?
Hi list! I'm trying to setup a new * server with a TE210P in a Dell 2850 box. I'm using zaptel version 1.2.5, the linux flavour I'm using is CentOS 4. In a previous thread I read about the results I should expect from zttest. On my home box (using the crappy Asus A7V600) I got really bad results from zttest (just over 97.5) but I know that this motherboard just sucks. To my

Are zttest results relevant on a system with no telephony hardware?
Our asterisk system gains access to the PSTN through a voip provider. We have no digium or other telephony hardware in our system. Do the zttest results still matter to us? Our results were as follows: --- Results after 1007 passes --- Best: 100.000000 -- Worst: 99.780273 -- Average: 99.975763

T1 Timing Slips
Does anyone know how to monitor * to see if they are receiving timing slips on a span connected to a T100P card? I am seeing b-channel restarts quite often and also getting "No D-channels available" warnings from time to time. Yesterday I had all the b-channels crash during a MeetMe Conference. Not good! This PRI is connected to an Avaya Definity PBX that is onsite and located in the

D-Channel on span 1 up/down + frame slips with zaptelBRI
I have installed two HFC PCI A-cards running zaphfc from bristuff-0.0.2, which seems to work quite fine, but I continously receive the messages "D-Channel on span 1 up" followed by "D-Channel on span 1 down" with a few seconds interval. Why is that? Bri intense debug log and configuration files below. I don't need ztdummy or zaprtc, do I? I get some frame slips as well,

ztdummy, zttest
Hello, Today we setted up a server that needs to use MeetMe but doesn't have any Zap hardware. So we need to use ztdummy (at least, this was our idea). Rarely: zttest is not working at all (100% bad, using zttest -v doesn't give anything, etc.). Of course, after load ztdummy, there isn't any background or anything. It is the same kernel (Debian Etch default kernel, 2.6.18) than

So I decided to update my code base from the cvs tree. rebuilt everything reinstall everything when I do a modprobe wcfxs or modprobe wcfxo It complains that I have the FXO and FXS statements backwards. Note well: This was a functioning system prior to the CVS update. I do have 2 FXO cards and 1 FXS (4 port with 1 module) card in the system. They are on seperate IRQ's if I set
