automon - one touch record
Actually the docs for the Queue application say: 'w' -- allow the called user to write the conversation to disk via Monitor 'W' -- allow the calling user to write the conversation to disk via Monitor couldn't get these to work tho. Does this mean I can do one touch recording with agents, or does it mean I can use the monitor() command? Very confusing... Doug.

Unable to hear.
Hi all, Has anyone had problems with not being able to hear callers and them not being able to hear you? And had any success on how to fix it? Our call centre staff are complaining that this is a continual problem. Appreciate any thoughts on this. PBX appliances
Hi List, Does anyone have experiences to relate on the various Asterisk-based PBX appliances out there? Like the Aastra 160, Digium S844i, etc. Do the Epygi Quadro and Grandstream GXE also use Asterisk? Thanks, Femi -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

ChanSpy
Anyone know why chanspy was not included in asterisk distribution as of October. ? I tried patching my current 1.0 but seems the patches are for an older version. I posted a bounty of $250 to get this to work with the newest stable. Needs be able to monitor bridged sip calls with or without a monitoring beep. Thanks John Bittner Simlab.net

No service on phones...
Today I had a problem where the internet connection is unstable so calls are getting dropped all over the place. The one thing I do not understand is that at least 30 phones on the internal network went to "No Service". Since they are on the same network segment and on the same subnet I do not see why the Internet connection sould affect them. The asterisk server is behing NAT and we

uncompressed FLAC
What dbPowerAmp does is encapsulate the wav file into a FLAC container without actually compressing it. I guess it can be a bit arguable if you can technically call it a FLAC file :) It's like using "Store" mode in RAR, for instance. The idea behing this "uncompressed FLAC" is to give the FLAC tagging abilities to people who don't want to compress their files. But

queue ring delay
Hi, Does a parameter exist for a queue to delay ringing/sending a caller to all agent phones after the previous call is answered by an agent? My queue ring strategy is set to ringall. I am using Polycom KIRK wireless DECT SIP phones. And it looks like the KIRK wireless server may need a split send to realize all wireless phones are no longer ringing (busy) after 1 call rings & is unanswered,

SIP_phone "A" (sending sms) ====> Asterisk ========>SIP_phone "B" (receiving sms) ... Is it possible ? If so, how could I do it ? Thanks, Angel. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

CRTC and FCC Feeds
I don't understand why so many government sites fail to provide some sort of feed to their daily bulletins. What I am venting about in specific are the Canadian CRTC and FCC sites, every day I have to go to the website and when I reach the content, usually it isn't even HTML but a Word or PDF file. So finally today I decided to do something about it and wrote a little app that scrapes

He had a working FWD registered thru Asterisk behing a NAT and a couple of samples of their new scripts, talking weblog (from Mr. Pulver) and other cool new features. If anyone got these please send em

IAX2 trunking scalability
Hi List, I have a 2Mbps SDSL link which gets saturated during peak time because about I have about 3 E1 worth of g729 traffic going thru. So I'm planning to use IAX2 trunking to reduce bandwith requirement and squeeze out each and every bit of this (expensive) bandwith. I've set up two boxes (debian etch), one in a remote data center (which has plenty of bandwith) and one behing

In the long-term view, a pretty trivial catch-up script ought to be able to synthesize a sane history after any amount of down-time. People could even run it locally for their bisecting needs if it was that important to them. In the short term, I

Making headers self-contained for static analysis
Hello, I started using clangd to get better static analysis and code refactoring tooling with the R sources (using eglot-mode in Emacs, it just works once you've generated a `compile_commands.json` file with `bear make all`). I noticed that the static analyser can't understand several header files because these are not self-contained. So I went through all .h files and inserted the

OK to have Asterisk and clients behind firewalls?
Hi To investigate the UNREACHABLE issue I'm having, I need to have confirmation that it's OK for the Asterisk server to be behind a NAT router, and also have clients elsewhere on the Net behind their own NAT router? I know that clients must use STUN to resolve their public IP and punch UDP holes in their firewall, but is there something special that must be done in the configuration

Fixed parameters in an AR (or arima) model
Hello I want to fit an AR model were two of the coefficients are fixed to zero (the second and third ar-coefficients). I used the "arima" function with the "fixed" argument but the ar3 coefficient is not set to zero: ============================================== > arima(Y, order=c(4,0,0), xreg=1:23, fixed=c(NA,0,0,NA,NA,NA)) Call: arima(x = Y, order = c(4, 0, 0), xreg =
