Serious NAT problems: can't call between lines on sipura
I have a problem that is almost certainly nat-related, but I can't figure
out what's happening.
Since moving the Sipura behind a NAT server (Linksys), I am no longer able
to call between the two lines on the same Sipura. When I dial one
extension from the other, it rings, but immediately after I pick up the
ringing phone, the call is uncerimoniously dumped. I can tell the call

connect Sipura with Asterisk - both behind NAT
Does anybody have a good link how to connect Sipura with Asteriks, both
behind NAT? I'm using FWD but their connection is like a weather
(especially IAX), I need something more reliable.
I was thinking of using stun and/or proxy but can not find any good link
explaining how to setup Linux server

SPA-1001 behind NAT -- mucho hair pulling
I've got a Sipura SPA-1001 that I'm trying to get working with an Asterisk server that's on the public Internet, while the SPA-1001
is behind NAT. I did the first obvious thing and mapped ports 5060 and 10000 - 30000 to the local IP address of the SPA-1001.
Tried numerous proxy settings, have all the NAT settings == yes. Registration seems to be happening; with sip debug on, I see

Help! - Double NAT issue
Hi folks.
Please don't flame me but I've been googling around for days, read a
tremendous amount, tried everything, and still no go.
This is most definitely a typical newbie question. - I sure hope there's
somebody(s) out there who'll humble themselves to help me out.
I've set up an 'out of the box' basic Asterisk server running on Slackware
Linux. - It basically

NAT keep-alive
Hi,
On my linksys/sipura phones/ATA, there is a setting called "NAT
Mapping Enable" and another called "NAT Keep Alive Enable"
These settings must be on in my setup so that my phones/ATA remain
connected to my * server. My setup is:
Home LAN - Pfsense (NAT, Dynamic Public IP)- Internet - PFsense (1-to-1
NAT, Static public IP) - Asterisk server.
I was wondering:

Should a Linksys Sipura 2102 be configured with nat=yes even if it is on the local network?
Should a Linksys Sipura 2102 be configured with nat=yes even if it is on
the local network?
I have been having some troubles with a Linksys Sipura 2100 series, which
suffers from NO AUDIO after a few calls.. Because it is on the same subnet
as Asterisk it is configured with nat=no. When you think of it because the
Sipura 2100 is a broadband router, the voice part may be considered as

Registering Remote Sipura to Asterisk (both behind firewall)
Can anybody point or provide working configuration how to register
Sipura to Asterisk over the Internet. Both Sipura and Asterisk are
behind firewalls.
I'll be force to use SIP as that is the only protocol that Sipura is
using.
Do I need to enter any "STUN Server:" setting in "SIP" tab.
On Asterisk I think I only need to make changes in sip.conf isn't it?

Sipura Behind NAT howto
I am trying to get a SPA-3000 to work behind NAT - for the sake of the
exercice.
The SPA is on the local network at the address 192.168.0.125 behind a
NATted linux router.
The machine I am trying to work with is a friend's (let's call it
lolo.dyndns.org) and I've installed Asterisk 1.0.3 on it.
I can see the SPA register but when I try to make an outbound call I get

Re: Sipura and STUN (was: rejected NOTIFY re quests)
Sipura does include STUN as an option. It has for quite some time. We are
using it with all of our Sipuras behind NAT'd gateways and it works great!
Try upgrading to the latest Sipura firmware rev.

How does Vonage support fax machines?
My boss is insisting we support fax, and I keep telling him that Fax over
IP is very unreliable and not recommended and his immediate come-back is
"Vonage does it." and it's very hard to figure out how.
I don't think Vonage does T.38, the Linksys/Sipura units they're using
doesn't support T.38 to my knowledge.
That means they have to be using G.711Ulaw to send faxes.

Vonage Linksys Router - Life after Vonage
I setup a vonage account last year, and cancelled it last night when I
put my asterisk box together and signed up for a Broadvoice account to
use with it.
Now I would like to use my Linksys router as an MTA, but realize it is
still programmed with all of vonage's proprietary information and I do
not know how to clear it. I understand that just pushing the reset
button will not do it.

OT: Multiple SIP phones behind NAT gateway?
Hi,
I know this is slightly off topic but I figured the knowlege here is probably the best on the subject..
I want to setup remote offices with 4 to 6 SIP phones (SNOM 200) using ADSL and the internet to connect to the Asterisk box..
These phone will be behind an ADSL router using NAT...
I don't want to setup another Asterisk system in each office so IAX is not an option..
I could use

Problems using SIPURA and MFC/R2
We are using MFC/R2 driver successfully in at least three places in Brazil. I have problem with an Asterisk integrated with MFC/R2 with a Siemens Hicom 300. I can get a good audio quality with Grandstream, Polycom, and X-Lite softfones, but SIPURAS and Linksys get a garbled audio, something like a "Darth Vader" voice. We have tried everything in Sipura. The SIPURA 2000 and the Linksys

Sipura RMA
Anyone have any luck RMAing a Sipura phone since the Cisco take over?
Sipura only has support via email or fax to end users and I haven't
gotten a response to either for over 2 months.
Linksys Support will jump you through all their scripted hoops to
resolve your problem (they hope if they speak with a thick enough accent
and make repeat the same steps over and over again that you will just

Problem using SPA-2000 behind NAT
Hello all,
I have a new Sipura SPA-2000 that I am trying to configure beind a
NAT. The SPA is able to register to the asterisk server without a
problem and the SPA can make calls to other extension that are not
behind a NAT. However, when I try to call the SPA from another
extension, the extension connected to the SPA rings, the user at the
SPA answers, and there is no audio in either

OT: Opensource "Sipura Profile Compiler" for SPA2K, 3K
Hello list,
I have several SPA-2000's and 3000's scattered about the Internet (all
behind NATs). Because I do not qualify as an ITSP, Sipura will not
license their "Sipura Profile Compiler" so that I can have the units
remote upgrade, remote re-configure, etc (via TFTP or HTTP). This is
extremely annoying.
Right now if I have to make a config change to any of these

Sipura SPA-3000 vs Linksys SPA3000
Hallo!
I had ordered a Sipura SPA-3000 in the UK, but the supplier turned out
to be unreliable and never shipped.
Yesterday I went looking for alternative suppliers and found the Linksys
SPA3000 device. It's a different box, but the specs look very similar.
Is this the same device? Has anyone used this Linksys SPA3000
successfully with Asterisk?
Thanks,
Frank
