Nortel i2004 IP Phones
Hello,
is it possible to connect a Nortel i2004, (i2002) IP Phone to an *
PBX?
I have seen on the net that there should be an SIP firmware aviable for
the phone, anyone an idea where to get it? Because orginally they use a
own protocol
to connect to an Meridian, BCM or CSE1K.
Another idea is to write a module for * that can handle this protocol.

This are "suppose" to be SIP based phones. I just
got one to play with, no docs, no nothing.
before I start spending time trying to sort it
out I thought I'd ask to see if anyone had made
one work with AST, and if they have any pearls
of wisdom.

Nortel Phones.
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone is using the Nortel 2001 2002 or 2004 phones on
their asterisk implementation. My local dealer says they are not
compatible with any open source implementations. Is there a phone
compatibility list somewhere?
Cheers

Nortel BCM - Call Accounting Interface?
Dear List,
Need to know if anyone on this list has had any experience with using
the Nortel BCM 50 for Call Account Reporting using an IP connection to a
Linux / Asterisk interface? Presently, I have a BCM 50 installed that uses a
local Lenova Small Form Factor PC with a windows XP / os that quit reporting
because of a up-grade to the Nortel reporting software. Nortel support is
now telling

Asterisk + PRI Card -> Nortel BCM
Has anyone fed a Nortel BCM from Asterisk?
I'm interested in switching our company over, but don't want to
replace all the handsets in one fell swoop.
I imagine some of the PRI cards can "emulate" a switch?
I'd still like to pass CallerID into the Nortel, etc but all the
external traffic would be VOIP, not TDM.

Winbind Samba 3.5.1
Somehow I can't figure out what's going wrong. I have a Samba server
running as PDC. Workstations can join the domain and users can logon. So
far so good. I need winbind to be able to authorize a radius server to
the PDC. This I cannot achieve. If someone got give me a clue, I spend
already quiet some time Google the net :(
Thanks,

Nortel 1140E
Anyone get the Nortel 1140E phones working with Asterisk ?
These look like great phones and I would like to start using them on
our deployments. I know these will work with Asterisk but the sample
config files are hard to find. My next step, if I cant find anything on
this list is to purchase a Nortel Communication Server for testing.
If anyone has a used NCS that works with these phone via SIP

SIP Phone dropping calls, SIP Softphones working fine
Hello!
I am semi-new to asterisk, I've been toying with it for about a month
now. I'm using the current version from the CVS server (as of last
week) and have succesfully connected it to Broadvoice, as well as a
few softphones. I got a Nortel i2004 IP phone from a friend to setup
at home as a homephone using Broadvoice, but going through my * box
and using iptel.com for toll free calls.

Nortel C15K <-> Asterisk
Has anyone had any luck getting an asterisk box to talk to a Nortel
C15K softswitch? Or any Nortel "sip" products? I've been playing with
it for several days and can't seem to pass calls either direction. I
know that whike the Nortel says the C15K speaks SIP, it really speaks
nortel's implementation of SIP, but I thought I could get it to at
least pass simple calls back

use of Asterisk and T100P as Nortel DSX-1?
Hi all,
I've seen a couple of posts recently from people who are doing
something with Asterisk and a T100P and a Nortel PBX. However it's
not clear exactly what they are doing.
Does anyone know if it's possible to use a T100P or T400P as a DSX-1
interface to connect to a T1/PRI CO module in a Nortel PBX? We have
a Nortel Norstar Modular ICS PBX and I'd like to plug its CO

Nortel BCM and Asterisk as SIP Extension
Greetings!
Has anyone - or is it even possible to - set up Asterisk with multiple
SIP Clients to a Nortel BCM switch? The intent is to set up an Asterisk
IVR behind the BCM, have the BCM route calls to Asterisk IVR and then
transfer calls to one of two queues in the BCM based on ANI and some
database information. The wiki (and Google) only mentions PRI,
Line-side T1 or H.323 interfaces to the

unistim and transfer calls
Hi
When i try to transfer calls from my ip2002 phone in asterisk 1.6, I can make the transfer and it rings on the extension I transfer to, but when I accept the call, asterisk dumps. How can I get it to work? And how do I save the dump error?

Cisco SPA3102 Thoughts & Other Recommendations
I'm looking to build a VoIP solution for 100+ service vehicles that have
WiFi hot spots installed (with cellular uplinks). Currently we are
trying out Skype wireless handselts and Majick Jack. I'd also like to
consider an Open Source solution that can bring the calls back to our
data center [possibly integrated without our existing BCM 3.x VoIP
PBX].

Nortel Meridian-1 Line Side E1
Anyone has the settings to connect a TE405 to Meridian-1 line side E1? I
saw T1 on the voip-info.org, but no E1. Is Nortel's E1 a variant of MFC/R2?
