similar to: Polycom configuration

I have a number of Polycom phones to setup with my * server. For my initial few phones I hand wrote configs. Does anyone here who uses Polycom phones have some form of management utility for automating their setup? I have some IP 500s that I bought used, but the connectors are different than the new ones. There is a Modem/Power RJ11, a Line RJ11, and Handset and headset connector. I have sent a Polycom IP500 phone to an overseas remote user who has a Speedtouch adsl modem/router. The phone is connected to the 4 port router which performs NAT for the network. Has anyone ever gotten the Polycom Status feature, accessible via the 'MyStat' soft-key to work? When you change the status in this way, the phone does not send any communication to Asterisk, and it seems to have no effect in incoming calls. So... what's it for? Doug

Regardless of the server they are pointed to our the offset, i am getting the correct time, but 24 hours ahead. So for today it is showing Friday April 28 but with the correct time. Any clues? Does anybody happen to know the input power specs for the Polycom IP 500 and IP 600? We've mixed up our power supplies and we've got a whole box of them and can't figure out which go to the Polycoms. I would rather not kill the phones by trying random ones....

I have four Polycom 330 phones connected to an asterisk system. There are other VoIP phones connected too. All of the extensions are four digits beginning with 11. From any of the phones, except the Polycom, picking up the handset to call extension 1103 for example works fine. I am using SugarCRM together with the asterisk plugin, which allows me to click a number, SugarCRM calls my extension then places the call when I pickup. I would like to have that extension auto-answer. I set it up as line 3 on my phone so normal calls do not get auto-answered. However, I have not been able to get this to work. Hi, I'm used to the Polycom 501, with a big message light indicator that flashes when I have a message waiting. As far as I can see when looking at pictures, the 601 (and 650) do not have this indicator light (nor does the 550 for that matter). How does it show the user that it has a message waiting? We are having an issue that I have been unable to figure out how to resolve. I think its related to the Polycom Phones and not the Asterisk configuration, but I'm not positive. We have several Polycom 500/501/601's on both a LAN and at employee homes. The problem we are having is if our internet connection goes down the Local LAN phones loose their connection to the Asterisk Server.
