Using Asterisk as a VOIP gateway
Is it possible to use * as a VOIP gateway? Can I connect asterisk to one of the trunks on my current PBX and on the other side of the world connect another * to the trunk of another regular PBX - is it possible to transfer calls from here to there? I guess I'll need one port FXO card for each asterisk, but I can't figure how to configure the thing. I know I'll need to

Asterisck as a Fujistu 9600 VOIP Gateway
Hello, Is there anyone out there who is using asterisk as a VoIP Gateway to a Fujitsu 9600? We have the existing system in place, and I have a mini gateway functioning using a devel kit from digium. I am a systems admin, and know near nothing about the Fujitsu, and could really use some "newbie" help, if anyone's got such a system running. Many Thanks, Jacob Leaver Senior

Asterisk as a VoIP Gateway to an Analog PBX
Hello all, I am a relative asterisk noob so please bear with me if my questions are obvious. What I'm trying to do is get our analog PBX (A Merlin Legend) connected to VoIP. From all my googling and reading voip-info.org (and this list) it seems very possible. I just wanted to describe my setup and see if I'm going in the right direction. What I'd like to do is set up an asterisk box

UK VoIP-PSTN gateway recommendations
I'm looking for recommendations for UK-based VoIP-PSTN gateways. They should ideally offer: - IAX connection - Multiple simultaneous calls on a single account - Lower call rates than BT Business - Auto-top up or invoicing in arrears I can find several that offer one of these facilities, but none that offer all. SPA-3000 VOIP-PSTN gateway - long delay between answering and ringing
Greetings, We are currently testing a Sipura SPA-3000 as a gateway from our Asterisk system to a PSTN line for 911 access. We have a number of locations and want to place an SPA-3000 in each, connected to a PSTN line that will provide the correct ANI/ALI information to 911 for each location. It all works great, except for a reasonably significant (4 seconds) delay between when the SPA-3000
