My boss is insisting we support fax, and I keep telling him that Fax over IP is very unreliable and not recommended and his immediate come-back is "Vonage does it." and it's very hard to figure out how. I don't think Vonage does T.38, the Linksys/Sipura units they're using doesn't support T.38 to my knowledge. That means they have to be using G.711Ulaw to send faxes.

So I'm using a WRT54GP2-NA when I travel, as I travel alot, to give me a phone at my hotel rooms, etc. During the day or late at night the thing works great - best ATA I've ever used. I have a small pile of them from customers who were too lazy to send them back after switching to our local voice service... Is there any hope of ever using these things with Asterisk? Vonage does not want them back and they won't unlock them either. A terrible shame! Should I just toss them? Steve
