I had a working system using * 1.0 and then 1.2 and now Asterisk 1.4.13 with addons 1.4.4, zaptel 1.4.6, libpri 1.4.2. I have a mix of Grandstream (GXP2000), Uniden uip-200, Linksys Wireless G, and analog phones via Adtran chan bank. When I went to * 1.4.13, the Uniden phones stopped being able to login to voicemail. All phones are on same lan with Asterisk. I get 'Login incorrect'

Uniden UIP200 -- configured, but not working?
Hi, all. I've got my Uniden UIP200 configured via TFTP (had to get DHCP 3.0.1 -- Debian's latest is 2.0.x!), and all seems well... except for the minor detail that it doesn't work. It registers fine with Asterisk, but when I copied my Grandstream's sip.conf info and plugged in the Uniden stuff, no dice. Any ideas? Thanks... -Ken unidencom.txt: OverwriteLocalSettings

Uniden UIP1868 - any sightings or users?
I've been looking out for the Uniden UIP1868 for a while now, but I haven't seen it anwhere that I'm used to buying things from. According to froogle, a couple of places (that I've never heard of) have a small number in stock (small = 10 in this case). I'm doubly suspicious because even uniden's own online store doesn't have them available yet, not to mention

Sidebar to Systemtap and Dtrace Comparison
My leaky memory says we moved entry-point into some form of debug record in the standard libraries, circa Solaris 8/9. Before that, my group maintained text files that listed all the entry-points and their parameters for libraries like libc.so, so that we could print out parameter values in apptrace(8). There''s a (small) chance the records are complete enough that dtrace could use the

Uniden UIP200 Review
Hello Everyone, My company is about to deploy * as replacement for our existing commercial Altigen PBX. Meanwhile, I've been trying to find the best cost effective SIP VoIP phone which we can use in office for 20-30 employees, as well as a few remote staff. Normally I wouldn't post about a VoIP phone, however, this phone was released less than a week so I thought I'd give some

Uniden uip200
I got a Uniden UIP200 and started to configure it and I am lost.... I have a tftp server setup on my * server and have the files unidencom.txt and uniden<mac>.txt there. But it doesn't quite work yet. It registers as a sip phone (sip show peers), but I cann't dial it and the display shows #1 disconnected all the time. It has firmware version BS4.59a in it. I have no idea if I

How to Flash() a modem line
Hello! I'd like to Flash() a modem line (BRI) with Asterisk. It is a passive ISDN-card connected to a hardware PBX. I use ISDN4Linux. I recognised that unfortunately the Flash() application flashes Zap devices only. Now I am wondering how I could flash Modem/ttyI0. The source code chan_modem.c doesn't contain anything about flashing a modem line. So I tried to simply put the AT-command

Files not found on UNIX.
Anyone have any input on this one. I'm running Samba version 1.9.18p10 on an HP9000 HP_UX 10.20. An NT 4.0 server writes files to a UNIX directory and periodically a shell script runs to process any new files found. Occasionally a file isn't found for several hours after it has been created, then mysteriously appears in the UNIX directory. So far this hasn't been a major

Bug in samba-2.0.6
Solaris samba 2.0.6 with largefile support running on ultra 10 with solaris 2.7 patch level 106541-07. Clients are win98 and win2000 importing a 10G share from the solaris machine. Using a small C program that writes 1M chunks to a file I can write a file as large as the partition will support. Using the system backup program to write a system backup to a file on the share the program dies with a

UIP200
Hi, We've recently deployed 6 Uniden UIP200 phones (running firmware 4.54). We've been having some serious problems: 1) All the phones randomly reboot themselves. Typically when trying to answer or initiate a call. 2) All the phones will disconnect from a calls with the PSTN after 2-3 minutes. 3) The phones are unable to interact with a remote IVR (digit presses are not received at

Looking for a Voicemail Lamp device
I'm looking for an external device that can flash when there is new voicemail in a mailbox. I'm using an SPA3000 with a Uniden 5.8 ghz wireless phone system. Problem is, the Uniden system has it's own answering machine, which I don't want to use. But the message lamps are driven solely by the internal answering machine function. Looking for something else to give a visual

Uniden UIP200 configuration -- manual MIA?
Hi, all. Got my Uniden UIP200 today (ordered from thetwistergroup.com), and was very excited to set it up... until I came to the realization that there were no docs with it whatsoever. There was, however, a sheet of paper with the stock warnings (don't use the phone in the tub, etc.), AND a URL -- for documentation. Score! Well, no. The URL it gave me, bcs.uniden.com, does indeed have

SAMBA and quotas on FreeBSD
Hi all, I've looked about and I can't find anything on Quotas and SAMBA with FreeBSD. The FreeBSD manual says that I can enable quotas and how to go about it, but I get the feeling this is just for shell accounts. Quotas would be useless in my situation if they did not work with SAMBA as well. All my SAMBA users have shell accounts as well and only save to their home directory - either

Slow initial connect
Hi, I'm running samba on several systems, two redhat 6.1 systems and one Solaris 7 system. On all three there's about a 5-10 second wait upon the first connect before it logs in. This is causing a problem, as on occasion it fails to connect at all - gives no error or anything, just does nothing, especially when double-clicking on shortcuts from the desktop. And the icons for said

UPDATE - Analog Phones with FSK/Stutter MWI
After purchasing the Uniden TRU9480 and then the Panansonic 5672, both of which do not have "phone company" compatible FSK/stutter MWI, I finally got smart and found out just which Panasonic phones have this feature. Only the following 5.8G models in their current line have FXO compatible MWI. I purchased the 5771 unit and one remote. I have confimed it does in fact work with Asterisk
