Which policy for ISDN BRI support in NT/PtMP ?
Hi, As you may know, these ISDN BRI features are very important here in Europe as ISDN Basic Rate Access is very popular among Small & Medium Entreprises. I don't really know why but it seems that in many countries, default is to install small PBX using Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) mode as opposed to Point-to-Point (PtP) which is the norm for PRI. So basically, in several countries, SME

PRI: Call Reference Length not supported
I'm not a PRI expert and therefore don't know what this debug stuff means for PRI, so if anyone can help me here... I'm running the latest libpri and zaptel from CVS. Keep in mind that everything works fine when using the STABLE libpri and zaptel. I am NOT running CVS asterisk. I am running 1.0.6. asterisk*CLI> pri intense debug span 1 Enabled EXTENSIVE debugging on span 1 T203

The correct way to get most recent stable
OK. I just downloaded asterisk-1.0.3.tar.gz and did a 'cvs co -r v1-0 asterisk' into 2 seperate directories. I then did 'diff -ur asterisk-cvs/ asterisk-1.0.3/' and there were source code line differences between the two. Some code that was in asterisk-cvs wasn't in asterisk-1.0.3 and vice versa. Which of those is "the most recent"? If someone wants to use cvs to

Today, I dried only updating libpri on the original configuration. I removed /usr/lib/libpri* installed libpri 1.4.7,

Commands to upgrade to latest Libpri? can I upgrade without touching Asterisk?
Hi Guys, I have to upgrade to latest Libpri 1.4.10.2 due to an existing bug in the current 1.4.10 version. I am running Asterisk 1.4.x (in fact it is a PBXinaFLASH system). How can I upgrade to the latest Libpri? Do I need to re-install Asterisk? Won't that break the box? Can I simply do this to upgrade: *rm /usr/src/libpri/*.** *rm -rf /usr/src/libpri/** Download the new libpri and put

Which dahdi/libpri combo for BRI/PtmP ?
Hi, I need to rebuild a system which has 4 BRI ports and is connected to Point-to-multiPoint lines, in a country where telco often "drop lines for energy savings". I'm planning to use latest 11.4.0 asterisk version along with dahdi and libpri (no misdn). Which version are recommended for Dahdi and Libpri ? My main requirements are, beside having calls coming in and out: - keep a

Trying to compile asterisk (again) from scratch. I seem to be still experiencing the effects fro Jan 25 where I get no sip to sip audio. I have tried upgrading to 1.2.3 which has made no change in the problem. I am starting over and now trying to compile/install /trunk zaptel libpri asterisk following the instructions to grab the source trees: # svn checkout

E1 PRI configuration: DAHDI and LIBPRI
Hi All; I have an E1 card with two ports for ISDN PRI. Do I need to install DAHDI in addition to LIBPRI? For placing outside calls (outgoing) via the PRI, then in the extension.exe file, I will use the Dial function? But how can I determine that I need to use the PRI channels and not the analoge channels? Last point: how can I know that asterisk is containing libpri? In other words, how can I

Kernel/Asterisk/DAHDI/Libpri version matrix?
I googled about a bit without success, so... Is there a version matrix available? Something that would say: for kernel version w, you can run up to version x of Asterisk, DAHDI version y, and libpri version z? For example, I have a bunch of remote hosts running kernel 2.6.26, Asterisk 11.6.0, and DAHDI 2.7.0.1. We experience occasional Asterisk crashes, so I'd like to get as up to date
