IP PHONE with chip PA1688 and IAX2 Authentication
Dear All,
I bought one IP PHONE from Integrated Networks which was showed to wiki too:
http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Intergrated-Networks
I have problems with the Asterisk authentication. It does't want to LOG IN
to Asterisk; it always says "LOG ON FAILED". I'm using the IAX2 protocol and
all paramters seems to be correct.
Does somebody use the same IP PHONE with

Unable to create channel of type 'IAX2'
Hi all,
I'm a newbie and I have a configuration problem with Asterisk.
Seems that I'm not able to call an outbound number. I'm quite sure that it
is a configuration problem, but I'm not able to find out where is the
mistake, even reading several docs to www.voip-info.org.
I do not have a good knowledge of Asterisk, I'm not very familiar with its
configuration and I've a

Hello,
With all the talk about Firefly, I decided to check it out, it seems to work
under wine (IAX only for some reason) so I'm thinking about using it on the
road. Now, my Asterisk box is behind a firewall, so I have set the firewall
to forward UDP port 4569 to my Asterisk box put I'm having problems with
this. I followed the instructions on the Asterisk Firewall Rules page but it

IAX2 to IAX2...i'm obviously an idiot!!
Hi All
I'm trying to get two Asterisk servers to talk to each other using IAX(2).
I've read the WiKi and the docs and tried the examples.....
I can't get it to work (I have 2 x 7960's registering on one server and 1 x 7960 registering on the other).
I've set them up as follows...
The two servers are set up as friends and have consecutive IP address's.
The setup is

IAX2 + port translation
Hi all,
I'm having trouble with incoming IAX2 calls on 1.2.7.1 - mostly they
work, but sometimes the caller just gets dead air or disconnects. IAX2
debugs show HANGUP and INVALID codes in these cases, rather than a
proper RINGING transaction.
My firewall is doing NAT, and changing the source port from 4569 to
something else - my IAX2 provider suggested this might be a problem. Is
it?

Receiving Calls from FWD Network using IAX2
Hello,
I am trying to setup my Asterisk box to accept calls from the FWD network.
I've followed all the config advice / samples I've found on the web.
Making calls to devices on the FWD network from my Asterisk box works
flawlessly, but whenever I try to call my Asterisk box from a FWD client I
get a busy signal, and a "Call Disconnected" 486 error.
What's odd is that I

IAX2 getting stuck
I have a server that had been operating for a few years now with
IAX2 trunks to several other servers. Since yesterday all IAX2 trunks
now say UNREACHABLE. No configuration changes have been made and no
upgrades have been done. The server is running 11.16.0 (yes, we are
planning upgrades but lets solve this first). The server has a USB
ethernet adapter that got disconnected yesterday by

IAX2 to IAX2 connection problems
Hi
My head hurts... Can anyone help out here, my remote IAX can see my
local IAX and visa versa, conversation starts, I can dial my remote
(POTS) landline number, remote end answers, trys to route to local
iax2, I see it start the conversation here, the extension (SIP) rings
once and then it dies...
Both ends are defined with accept IPADDRESS to keep it in the family and

IAX2 Sporadic TX/RX retries
Hi,
I'm trying to track down why I'm getting calls dropped on an infrequent basis
between two asterisk servers which are at the same physical location and
connected to each other with UTP ethernet. Here is the connection diagram
Asterisk Server 1 ===UTPENET== Switch ====UTPENET==== Asterisk Server 2
I see sporadic RX and TX frame retries when I enable iax2 debugging on either
box.

Help, please help -- IAX2 softphone to server on LAN
I've already sunk several hours into this without any
real progress, so I'd really appreciate any help My
task is simple -- establish a connection between a
softphone on XP ProSP2 to a Asterisk server on Linux
FC4 over a LAN through a Netgear router. The server
will then go out to a PSTN termination service.
Thus far, the PSTN termination connection works fine

IAX2 Call rejected, CallToken Support required
Hi All,
I am using Asterisk 1.4.26.2 and I am getting the following problem
making connections to this server. My other servers are Version 1.2.x
which have no problems and this 1.4.26.2 server can call the other 1.2.x
servers.
The error is:

jitterbuffer causes flaky IAX2 incoming connections?
I've been having problems with incoming IAX2 calls - some work, but a
large fraction are answered with "dead air" or disconnects from my IAX
provider.
Disabling the jitterbuffer seems to eliminate the problem (so far)! Has
anyone else seen this? I'm using 1.2.6, but I'm not sure what my
provider is using.

IAX2 ports usage
hi all !
we've got IAX2 protocol working between several Asterisk servers. Now we are concerned with doing bandwidth management to maintain an acceptable voice quality. We thought of prioritizing the udp traffic. ( Giving a high priority to those IAX2 udp ports.)
I know that IAX2 uses udp/4569. Is there any other traffic/ports that we need to consider for bandwidth shaping w.r.t IAX2.

Asterisk/iaxclient IAX2 source port
All,
I have a simple question and a complicated reason for asking:
Is it possible to change asterisk's source port for outbound IAX2
connections?
I've tried using "sourceaddress" to no avail. I can set it to:
proper.ip.of.box:4569
or
0.0.0.0:4569
and it works as expected. But if I try to set it to:
proper.ip.of.box:5000
or
0.0.0.0:5000
it fails around line 8536 in

IAX2 - DualServer Problem
Hi,
I have two asterisk servers and I want to make these servers call each
other as they were internal. I have succeeded in one way. Server B can
call Server A without problem, but Server A cannot call Server B.
Here's the iax configuration of servers
Server A:
==================
[ipek]
auth=rsa
context=from-internal
host=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
inkeys=ipek
outkey=odtu

IAX2 problem for WAN connections
Hi,
I am trying to connect two Asterisk servers using IAX2. Everything works fine when I couple them
within a LAN segment, but not when I connect them using WAN connections. I made sure that the
routers' ports are mapped properly and checked this with additional ssh rules.
ServerA is a Raspberry box with the vendor's Asterisk version 1.8.13.1 and ServerB is normal
