echo sidetone grandstream and tdm400p
Hi all, thanks to the all of you. This list is very interesting also for a newby like me. My problem: I just setup my first full working asterisk installation with this config: 1. n.1 GXP-2000 2. n.4 Budgetone 102 3. n.1 TDM400p (3 FXS, 1 FXO) Everything seems to work fine, but the sidetone... it's really annoying! We can hear the sidetone only when we call to the outside (PSTN), it

[Asterisk-Dev] How to monitor Agen Voice channal?
Hello, How can we monitor agents voice channels for training or quality control purpose. While agent is talking to a customer we need to be able to monitor voice channel (the actual voice conversation). If possible we would like to do that without putting agents in conference rooms. Is there any possible way to do that? Has someone done this? In addition when we tried to put the agent in

Sensitivity to sounds with frequency
Hi, I've looked in various FAQs and web pages for this info, but just can't seem to find it. When two tones of two different frequencies sound equally loud, what's the (rough) relationship between their power? This is for percussive sounds in music, but I assume it's roughly the same for all sounds. The ear seems more sensitive at high frequencies. For example, when you

hangup detection
So I made the mistake of buying a Carrier Access channel bank without noticing the page on the wiki about the fact that they don't support disconnect supervision (bastards!). However, apart from that, I do have it working fine for incoming calls. Is there some trick to get asterisk to detect the hangup tones from SBC? I've tried busydetect and callprogress as suggested, but neither

Random Intermittent Noise for SIP to FX0 calls plus echo
Dear group, Was wondering if anyone out there has had the experience I have been having. In reading recent posts on echo cancellation, I think there is.... We recently cut over the Asterisk and are configured with 5 FXS and 2 FXO ports to the PSTN via 2 TDM400P's and 5 SIP phones on our local network. I have set up echo cancellation with 800ms echo training. I do not have

Glusterfs/CTDB/Samba file locking problem

Samba is AD integrated and works mainly. The main problem is that file locking seem to not work between the machines at all. If two Win7 clients try to open an document from the same Samba server

I'm a relative R novice, and sometimes the simple things trip me up. Suppose I have a <- c("apple", "pear") and I want a logical vector of whether each of these strings contains "ear" (in this case, F T). What is the idiom? Quizzically, Mark Lindeman

ruby help / if (cond or cond)
Why this code doesn''t work as expected? It raises exceptions everytime. Tried with || operator, too. validates_each :x, :y do |record, attr| record.errors.add (attr, ''between 1 and 100'') if (attr.to_i>100 or attr.to_i<0) end -- They say money can''t buy happiness? FLAC: headphones
hi flac list! I'm not sure if this question can be asked here, but here you go (it's a question for audiophiles only): I encode CDDA tracks to FLAC and play them on my Pocket PC (PDA). I'm looking for a high quality headphone to connect to my Pocket PC, but it must be an in-ear one but not like these: http://s7d1.scene7.com/is/image/vanns/770045336?$medium_item$ So no plastic things
