ztcfg problems
Hello, I'm running Fedora Core 3 with udev, and asterisk/zaptel/libpri from cvs. I have followed the README.udev instructions replacing insmod with modprobe and rmmod with modprobe -r and adding the 60-zaptel.rules file, yet no matter what I do I still get this error on boot(or when I run service zaptel restart): [root@pbx ~]# /etc/init.d/zaptel restart Unloading zaptel hardware drivers:

Boot load wcfxo does not configure self under Ubuntu 6
When booting Ubuntu 6.06.1 (Linux 2.6.15-27-386), wcfxo would load but not configure. I have three ways to manually force wcfxo to configure: 1) ztcfg, 2) modprobe -f wcfxo, or of course 3) unload and reload wcfxo. Each works equally well. As a workaround, now I have to put ztcfg in rc.local, which Debian doesn't favour. I had compiled the same zaptel under Ubuntu 5.02.0 on two

I go to my Zaptel 1.4.0 folder and run ./configure; make linux26; make install and I don't see any errors. This is out of my modprobe.conf: install tor2 /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install tor2 && /sbin/ztcfg install torisa /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install torisa && /sbin/ztcfg install wcusb /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install wcusb && /sbin/ztcfg install wcfxo

Strange Zaptel Modprobe driver failure
Hello, my first post to the list. I have started to install and play with Asterisk. I was following some basic instructions to 'jump-start' my system. I have a TDM400P with one port and a X100P. I am running the latest CVS versions (from today). Following the steps I found for basic jump-start I did the following: Modprobe zaptel Modprobe wcfxo Modprobe wcfxs Edited

FC3 + udev + Asterisk v1.0.3 - Temporary Fix
I haven't seen anybody so far post a complex fix for the udev problems on FC3 with the latest kernel. On that note, I have a temporary fix to allow zaptel to load somewhat normally. I found that modifying the zaptel script to 1) load, unload, then load the driver modules and 2) insert a pause between modules seems to allow things to work. This assumes you have followed the instructions

Newbie needs help - Dev_Kit_Lite installation problem
Installing DevkitLite hardware (Very similar to John Lange's post on Tue Oct 08 2002) I cannot get anything to work on the phone connected to the s100u. I dont know what to do. Can someone please help me? I used the sample configuration files from digium documentaion that was supposed to be "sane" defaults for the kit. auto 'modprobe wct1xxp' on startup?
Hi guys, Thanks for your answers on my two questions yesterday. That's exactly what I was looking for, sorry for not noticing it myself, but I'm still getting acclimated to Asterisk and even Linux--from what I see so far, I love it. I've got another one now. Since my Asterisk install and configuration is fairly stable at this point, I'm interested it ensuring that during

problems with X100P - No channel type registered for 'Zap'
Hi, I have already installed the X100P drivers but when I make to make call call, I always get No channel type registered for 'Zap'. Any idea how to solve this problem? X100P fails to initialize
So I took a chance with an X100P knock-off on eBay. I'm running Asterisk + FreePBX on a PowerMac G3 (beige desktop) using Slackintosh 10.2 and kernel 2.6.16.16. Everything has been fine up until now. I compile the 1.2.5 Zaptel drivers without a problem, get the udev configuration in, modprobe zaptel, and finally modprobe wcfxo. At this point, I get the message: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel

Second X100P card won't work
Greetings all, I've just put two X100P cards to my box and despite trying everything I can find on the web, I can't get the second one to work. I've edited /etc/modules.conf so that ztcfg doesn't run automatically. To start, I run: /sbin/modprobe zaptel /sbin/modprobe wcfxo /sbin/ztcfg /sbin/modprobe ixj and ztcfg says: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 2: No such device or

udev or not?
I'm just getting started with asterisk on White Box Linux 3.0 I have a x100p card in the PC. If I reboot and immediately do a "ztcfg -vv" I get the well known "Unable to open master device '/dev/zap/ctl'. If I then do a "modprobe wcfxo" this error disappears and Asterisk runs fine. I've read the advice about modifying a file in /etc/udev. Well this system

(I'm producing a writeup on all the things one run into building an * box. Which after a couple of boxes is showing up aplenty.) So this uses the working h/w and config's from another box. All I do is build in a new computer. Loading the modules I got: __________________________________________________ Zaptel Configuration ====================== Channel map: Channel 01: FXS

how to add more TDM04B
I already have one Digium TDM04B installed in my server working fine. I just received 2 more so I did added them to my server. When I booted again linux told me that it found new hardware I said ignore. Then I log in as usual. I did ztcfg -vv to see if it sees 12 channels now instead of 4 but it only see 4. So then I did again modprobe zaptel, then modprobe wcfxo and wcfxs hoping it would see
