X100P card in Australia
I'm trying to get the X100P card working in AU. So far I have managed to get it to handle incoming calls from the PSTN and have managed to eliminate pretty much most of the echo. My big problem is getting the outbound calls to work. When I get ZAP to dial out it won't connect and I get what I think is the Congestion signal - like a busy signal but with what appears to be a 10db

X100P in a soekris 4801
Hi All, I have a Soekris 4801 running Asterisk and I tried to add a X100P FXO card only to find that the Soekris will not boot with the card installed. The LEDs flash for a second and then nothing, it does not boot. I've tried 2 different X100p cards, both of which work in a regular desktop system, and still have no luck. I tried a different Soekris 4801 with no luck. I've also tried a

DTMF from TDM400P and X100P
With one IVR payment system, I noticed quite a difference in DTMF transmission between these two cards. The IVR missed nearly all digits from X100P, while receiving digits from TDM fine. Since neither card process or synthesize audio, what can the difference be? (This particular IVR has problem with some regular phone devices, too.) Yuan Liu

Dual X100P cards
I know the X100P cards are not supported by Digium any more, but for home office use, are they still acceptable? I have two POTS lines, one residential and one business line comming into the house. I'd like to get both into my * server and $15 total compared to > $100 for the newer TDMxxx card sure is desirable. Having said that, will the sound quality, functionality, stability, etc. be as

Multiple Sipura 3000
If I have multiple Sipura 3000 device how can I dial out properly? I can receive call without any problem and that's working really well. Caller ID is shown and when someone call he get's the welcome message the same way I have it configure with the X100P card. I don't seem to have any echo problem with the Sipura 3000 (but I do with X100P cards) My main concern is for

FXOs
Hi All, I'd really like to see a show of hands with regard to people's experience with FXO interfaces. I own a few X100p cards and have had nothing but problems with them. I also took part in Sipura's beta program, for the SPA-3000. While it can be an improvement over the X100p, it presently has echo problems that make it unusable. Sipura has not acknowledged the problem ( at least

tdm (and x100p?) echo - fix is coming!
Good news! FYI, worked with Mark this afternoon to test changes needed to reduce or eliminate echo involving pstn calls on the new tdm fxo card (bug #1902). Three simple source code changes (testing-only at this point) resulted in zero detectable echo on all incoming and outgoing tdm pstn calls, even in the first second or two. I've not noticed any unusual side effects at all. Since the

X100P voicemail volume too low (quiet)
Hello, I'm running Asterisk 1.0.6 with zaptel 1.0.6 on Gentoo Linux with a 2.6.11-gentoo-r2 SMP kernel (but no SMP hardware) and mpg123 0.59s-r9. When I leave a voicemail message via my X100P, the message is way too quiet. I can barely hear it. I googled this a bit, and I saw similar complaints with older versions, but no resolutions. Also, many complained that it was only too quiet via

HT-488 vs. SPA-3000?
Hello, Just want to tap the collective wisdom of this list as to experiences pertaining to the Handytone HT488 and the Sipura SPA-3000 adapters... Basically I'm looking for a FXO/FXS/LAN ATA and these two seems to be the top of the pick..Any comments and experiences esp. with Asterisk compatibility would be great, before I plonk in the bucks. TIA. /wai-sun

X100P in Australia
G'Day, I need from regarding using the X100P. Some are specific to Australia and I have been told in IRC there are already existing users in oz, so I would appreciate your input. 1) Is the X100P Australia telco approved? 2) I have setup asterisk with X100P and whenever I dial in I cannot get any callerid information. Is this standard behaviour? If not how have other australian users managed

Any echo issues with phones from TDM400P > X100P
Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing a TDM400P card and was wondering if anyone has experienced any echo issues with phones off these cards connecting to the PSTN via the X100P cards? I have had my fingers burnt with a Voip phone > X100P. Cheers, Taff. --------------------------------- ALL-NEW Yahoo! Messenger - sooooo many all-new ways to express yourself -------------- next part

X100P interrupt load
Hello, Can anyone tell me what the "normal" number of interrupts per second is for an X100P card? I've used FreeBSD 5.3 and a linux 2.6.11 kernel on the exact same hardware (only the disk changed) and `systat -vmstat 1` on FreeBSD and `procinfo -dS -n1` under Linux. For both, I'm seeing roughly 1000 interrupts per second on my X100p card. It was a bit worse under FreeBSD, and I

X100P with Caller-ID in Australia,
You require no changes to detect caller id with a x100p card in Au, however most carriers only provide cid as an extra cost option. Your most likely problem is CID is not being sent to you. If you believe you have the caller id being sent to you, Find a caller id box/phone and confirm it is there. In 99% of cases where I have seen people in Au complaining of no caller id, it was because they

DIALSTATUS with X100P
I'm having an issue with my current configuration. I have a single PSTN line connected to an X100P and a couple IAX trunks to NuFone and VoipJet. When I make an outbound call it doesn't properly detect if my PSTN line is in use with another call and then overflow to my outbound IAX connections. I think the root cause is that DIALSTATUS gets reported as BUSY instead of CHANUNAVAIL. I

Analog modems behind an Asterisk server?
Hello, we would like to hook up analog modems behind an Asterisk server, and we're very interested in the experiences that others have made when attempting that. We assume that there are no inherent problems with modems in respect to the Asterisk software, but it appears that the FXO/FXS hardware restricts this kind of a setup to lower data transmission rates, is this correct? Currently,

X100P Configs for Australia
Hi, Just wondering if anyone else in Australia is using the X100P to connect to the PSTN, and what configs they have for it? I'm finding at present when I make a call I get a fair bit of echo of myself speaking, and also the person on the other end can't hear me very well (perhaps need to up the digial Tx Gain? I don't have it configured at present) Asterisk is running on
