Asterisk on a single phone line
I have asterisk installed on a linux workstation (1 phone in and 1 phone out jack). I want to configure Asterisk to show me any available data about any calls (i.e. phone numbers, caller-id) as well as screen unwanted calls to voice mail. My first question is, what (if any) specific kernel support do I need? I build my own kernels and I usually turn off telephony and isdn support. Second, which

[Hmisc] latex() with ctable=T inserting unwanted empty line in .tex file when used on summary.formula(method="reverse") object
Dear useRs, When I'm using Hmisc's latex() function with ctable=TRUE on a summary.formula with method="reverse" object and saving in a .tex file, the latter contains an unwanted empty line which makes compilation fail. Here is a brief example : library(Hmisc) test <- data.frame(a=sample(1:30,10),b=sample(c("good","bad","ugly"),10,replace=T))

Single precision data behaviour with readBin()
Hi all, I am running R version 2.4.0 (2006-10-03) on an i686 pc with Mandrake 10.2 Linux. I was given a binary data file containing single precision numbers that I would like to read into R. In a previous posting, someone suggested reading in such data as double(), which is what I've tried: > zz <- file(file, "rb") > h1 <- readBin(con = zz, what = double(), n = 1, size

[GSoC 2018] A single updater class for Dominators in LLVM
Hi, I am a first year M.Tech (computer science) student at IIIT Hyderabad. I am interested in working on the project - single updater class for the dominator tree in llvm and the algorithm for pruning unwanted changes to the Post Dominator Tree. I have gone through the programmers manual of llvm in the past and I have 3 years experience of working with the LLVM community. I have also gone

Suggestion for a new server for E1 line
Hi All, I'm trying to identify a new server as a replacement for what our customer actually has (DELL PowerEdge 860). The server will mount the Digium board TE121, we already have, with echo cancel onboard. I need to know if someone could suggest a new server that's compatible with this board. With "compatible" I mean that's not having any problem like IRQ sharing, IRQ miss

How to killsource from command line?
Hi Apologies - this is more of a bash question than an Icecast question. When I visit the listmounts.xsl page for my Icecast server, for example here: http://icecast.example.com:8000/admin/listmounts.xsl I see that each mountpoint is listed like so: > Mount Point : (/example.mp3) > List Clients | Move Listeners | Update Metadata | Kill Source > > 35 Listener(s) The code for the

Asterisk to make multiple extensions simultaneous calls on a single telephone line
Hi Lists, I have one box with two FXO and two FXS ports, it is running asterisk inside. I have one sinle POTS line connected to the one FXO and two phone sets connected to the FXS port. Extension 6003 is asigned to one fxs and 6004 is asigned to another fxs, the two extensions can call each other, they can both make/receive PSTN call, but they can't make PSTN call simultaneously. Is it

Tukey post hoc comparison (glht?) after 3factorial mixed model (lmer)
Hello, dear R-community. This is a question about TukeyHSD between factor combinations of a Three-Way ANOVA, which is - since it is a multi measure ANOVA - not a simple ANOVA but a Generalised Linear Mixed Model (GLMM), calculated with "lmer". > growth <- groupedData(length~meas|box_id,outer=~spec*comp*water,data=all.spec) > model <-

How to killsource from command line?
They should work :P but if it the local server try using 127.0.0.1 for the server name instead, lot of server are not configure correctly to know what their address is. also the syntax user:Pass at servername should work also. I use it allot on a remote control server to force a client to drop. But one thing you have to make sure is that they not on reconnect in the client or it will

Samba - Bind9 DNS - ISC-DHCP - obsolete DNS entries
Hi, thanks for reply. Having the information that this is no situation considered yet is already helpfull - telling me that I have not missed / missconfigured something. :) I think the better solution for me is to not even create the unwanted entries. Filtering for "automatic" dhcp created hostnames (matching '^dhcp-.*$') to not be added into DNS should to the trick for me

Perl CGI scripts - stripping out unwanted carriage returns etc
I have a number of perl CGI scripts which I wrote some time ago (and which are working successfully on my website). I've set up a local server on which to do some development work on the scripts but I can't get them to work - the error log says: No such file or directory: exec of '/var/www/cgi-bin/script.cgi' failed Premature end of script headers: script.cgi etc By comparing

Thanks for doing all this work. I have just sent it to experimental. I did some reviewing and diffing. I have some comments, or, at least, things I noticed. None of them were IMO blockers for experimental.

One single record file for a meetme monitor?
I'm trying to figure out the best way to record a conference. Many people suggest something like this: exten => 2060,1,Answer exten => 2060,2,Wait(1) exten => 2060,3,Monitor(wav,myfilename) exten => 2060,4,Meetme(1,ps) However, this creates two files for each user that connects to the meetme. (I know they can be mux'd together to make one with sox..I've done that too)

How to comment out entire code parts in Sweave files
Hi, I am wondering if there is any convenient way to comment out an entire region of a Sweave file which comprises R and Latex code. Currently I'm doing it for the R and Latex parts separately or transfer the unwanted part into a different file. But both are not great solutions. (I am doing this when updating old files and debugging) Is there a way to do this with an equivalent of
