How to save & play back an entire R session?
I know that at the end of an R session I'm given the option to save the current *state* of the session. But I would like to save the entire sequence of inputs that took place during the session, so that I can play them back later, and not only be left in the same state I was at the time of saving the session, but be able to see the entire history of the session (inputs and outputs). (This is

Only one user can play shared OGGs
Hi Everybody, I was wondering if a few of you might be able to send some brainpower my way regarding a problem I've been having. My Samba 3 server serves OGG files to serveral Windows XP clients, all on the same subnet. As "user_a", I've been ripping OGGs on one windows box and saving them to /home/user_a/ on the server. I can then copy these files from user_a's home

Basic ISDN Access
Hi All, Here at my office we have two basic ISDN Access with two phone lines each. We would like to install an Asterisk PBX. The question is: How can I connect the ISDN lines to Asterisk? Is it possible to connect to a DIGIUM Wildcard TE410P card? Or this E1 card is only for PRI access? Any other suggested and tested hardware for a production box? Let me know, -Z --

Confidence intervals of log transformed data
Hi I have a general statistics question on calculating confidence interval of log transformed data. I log transformed both x and y, regressed the transformed y on transformed x: lm(log(y)~log(x)), and I get the following relationship: log(y) = alpha + beta * log(x) with se as the standard error of residuals My question is how do I calculate the confidence interval in the original scale of x

Qs on "vector of lists", etc.
I'm pretty new to R, so please forgive the cluelessness of these questions. Is it true that it is not possible to have a "vector or lists" in R? Is a "list of lists" the closest one can get to a "vector of lists"? Is it possible to have a "matrix of lists" in R? Or an "array of lists"? Thanks! Roy [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

New ncurses Asterisk Manager Interface
I am currently developing a asterisk ncurses interface using the manager API. The project is currently awaiting sourceforge's approval but I have a beta online at http://sig.lange.googlepages.com/assman . The projects real home will be assman.sf.net. This project really consists of two parts, libassman is a C manager API and assman is the ncurses portion. It's still beta but I have been

Thank you for the explanation. Yes, it was a mistake to leave my two faxias that way, by the ID exchange reason the low range will leave as it was to have no problems idmap config SERVERAD: range = 5000-33554431 The range of up'm thinking of changing to something idmap config *: range = 2000-4500 Not to be superimposed. More basic equivalent of TukeyHSD
This is a simple question, but I'm going on the supposition that the only stupid question is the one not asked. 1. I have many sets of 5 proportions that are different from each other (prop.test), and want to know which proportions are different from each other. In other words, I want the equivalent of Tukey's HSD test, but for proportions rather than anova. Here is one of the

function application
Suppose I have a function, like list, that takes a variable number of arguments, and I have those arguments in some vector x. How can execute the function with the *contents* of x as its arguments? I.e., I don't want list(x), but rather list(x[[1]], x[[2]], ..., x[[n]]), but I don't want to spell out the individual elements of x (either because I want to do this programmatically, so I
