Can only call VoIP SIP Providers (Weird)
I'm using Asterisk 1.0.4 with AMP and Broad Voice. I have that with only 5 XTen Lite phones. I'm able to call / etc with internal phones just fine. I can call outside Vonage Numbers, and other BroadVoice Numbers. I have vonage where I live (626) and can call that fine. However, other 626 numbers I get similar errors as below. However, everytime, I try to call cell phones, and or

Asterisk @ Broadvoice (I know it's been covered, but odd error)
Okay, I installed http://www.xorcom.com/rapid/ Xorcom'ms Rapid distro. I had broadvoice working with the following settings described on the list and as well as broadvoices website. (http://www.broadvoice.com/support_install_asterisk.html) I'm trying to run another Distro (CentOS) and everything is installed and working fine with MySQL. However, the "same" configs give me the

ACK's overhead
Good day time! We've noticed the following issue with Samba 3.0.1 on Linux. When SMB client asks for the first time on FID for a locking or read request on an opened file, it causes an ACK to be sent from client side. Windows server also requests ACK BUT much more rarely. Sending ACK causes additional overhead when working in heavy locking and unlocking environment. Windows server

Exim on all interfaces
Hi. I have a default installation of Exim with only a few changed settings. It appears to only bind to the loopback interface. I have not set any local_interfaces values, as the default behaviour is to bind on all interfaces. But alas, exim does not respond on its IP address: [root at obiwan ~]# /etc/init.d/exim restart Shutting down exim: [ OK ]

Asterisk rejects sdp from webrtc client
Hello, I was testing with sdp and something came up worth asking: While calling from a webrtc client to another (chrome, sip.js) Asterisk receives the following sdp and rejects it with 488 Not Acceptable. Why does this happen, what's wrong with the sdp? The second sdp body below is accepted instead. Both have rtp profile RTP/SAVPF, difference is that the second one was produced by rtpengine,

Neither host nor Windows client can connect to host's LAN IP address
Greetings, I am not sure whether this is a CUPS or SAMBA problem; I'll try here first. I was reading up on how to speed up Windows XP SP2 client printing with Cups/Samba--I'm sure you're all familiar with the Windows XP SP2 problem. Simply browsing for the printer worked, but Windows stalled and stalled while communicating with it. I did get a test page printed but it was

Re: Asterisk and MWI
MessageMelissa - I added the "fromuser=AnyName" to my sip.conf file stations and that, in fact, corrected the problem. The MWI now works flawlessly. I would recommend that Aastra/Sayson pursue this with the Asterisk team so that it is listed as a known issue or to have Asterisk patched to fix it. I will submit a bug on it as well. I'm copying the Users Mailing List on this. For
