HOW TO make xten eyebeam incoming video start before you send yours
Sorry, I don't remember who was asking about this, but it seems that if you record a video message that contains the send video start, it will actually fire up the remote receive window. I.E. Previously I was using the recording section of voicemail to create my video IVR's. This meant that when I arrived at the section to record the message, I had already clicked send video in Xten.

xten x-lite eyebeam
In an attempt to eliminate audio echo I upgraded one side of a working x-lite to x-lite connection to eyebeam. No joy, and what was worse is the audio was even worse now - just noise. Ok, I upgraded the other side to eyebeam and same thing. I'm not even using video (will enable it in sip.conf later, one change at a time). The connection looks something like: eyebeam client

Hello all, I HAD video working before I upgraded to 1.08 (latest stable with Gentoo) and now it won't work. I just see noise bars and not the video. I know the camera works as I can use it in other programs such as AIM & Yahoo. I have the following setup: sip.conf [general] videosupport = yes port = 5060 ; Port to bind to (SIP is 5060) bindaddr = 0.0.0.0 ; Address to bind

same extension on softphones and hardphones
Sorry if you see this message repeated twice. I would like to set up hard phones and softphones with the same extension so that when anybody in the company dials an extension, each user's hardphone and softphone will ring at the same time. I've tried setting this up before, but I noticed that the last sip device to register with the same extension is the only one that rings when the

enable eyeBeam to accept only one call
Hello I'm using eyeBeam, and Asterisk keeps sending my clients a second call, when they are still in one call (because eyeBeam has lots of channels). I was using X-Lite (with 3 channels) and Asterisk never sent the client a second call. How can I force Asterisk (or eyeBeam) just to send one call at each time. Is this a configuration I need to do in eyeBeam or Asterisk? Thanks Regards Joao

eyeBeam + ASterisk 1.2.7.1 + Instant Message
Hi, I'm trying to find how to configure Asterisk 1.2.7.1 to allow two EyeBeam (3015c) to send Instant Messages between them... But I cannot find anything that explains how to do it! Anybody as a clue? is it possible? Now, when we try to send an Instant Message in the eyeBeam it says: "User not available". In asterisk console appears a message saying: ------ Apr 18 17:13:22

Asterisk & Eyebeam chat function
Hi all, Eyebeam has a sip-chat function and it would be nice if I would be able to use it. But the problem is that I can't really find information about it. I can just try to send a message and on the Asterisk console a message like this appears: Jun 13 10:05:25 WARNING[6512]: chan_sip.c:7281 receive_message: Received message to <sip:bla@voiphost> from "Bla

Poor volume on SPA-2100 due to asterisk?
I just bough a Sipura SPA-2100 to use with Asterisk. When I use the analog handset plugged into the SPA-2100, the person on the other end can hardly hear me. I check the SPA-2100 setup and their is no mic/spk gain control. Is this a problem with the SPA-2100 or with Asterisk? Any way for asterisk to compensate for the poor audio level (if the problem is the SPA-2100)? Thanks, Mike

G.722 between Eyebeam and a Polycom IP650
Hi All, So I've been exploring the use of G.722 encoded wideband audio recently. I have three different SIP devices that allow this: Eyebeam, IP650 and a Siemens S865IP. The Siemens and IP650 seems to work fine together. Calls pass between them in what the Polycom notes as "HD" mode and the audio quality is certainly very good. However, things are not so easy with Eyebeam and the

Eyebeam crashes when dialing an invalid number...
Lately I have been getting many complains that Eyebeam crashes when you dial a number that does not exist. This happens in both R2 and ISDN PRI lines. The softphone stops working and has to be restarted. The response I got from tech support was: the actual issue is that asterisk should not be sending a 503 service unavailable when a particular softphone is not online. The soft phone stops

Broadvoice + Videosupport=yes - Fails!
Hi All First time poster, long time reader. I just ran into something really bizarre. I've enabled videosupport and have been testing sip calls with Xten Eyebeam software, it works (mostly) However, when I have Videosupport=yes In the [general] section of my sip.conf, broadvoice calls fail w/ "We're sorry your call cannot be completed at this time" So... I have my Xten soft phone on a PC which is NAT'd behind firewall with ports forwarded. I have also followed instructions on Wiki for Xten.
