In an attempt to eliminate audio echo I upgraded one side of a working
x-lite to x-lite
connection to eyebeam. No joy, and what was worse is the audio was even
worse
now - just noise. Ok, I upgraded the other side to eyebeam and same
thing. I'm
not even using video (will enable it in sip.conf later, one change at a
time). The connection
looks something like:
eyebeam client ->asterisk(behind firewall router) ->asterisk (behind
firewall router)->eyebeam client
One firewall/router is from a different vendor using ADSL talking IAX to
other asterisk
behind Cable(RR) router/firewall.
x-lite to x-lite was working *WITH* echo problems aleviated by having
one side using headphones instead of speakers.
kphone on another system using the same asterisk switch is also able to
tolerably talk
to the original x-lite on the other end (with echo problems). A third
asterisk switch
with no firewall using kphone is also able to talk to the first * switch
so I generally
think its not really an * problem (sorry for the off topic for those who
object).
Just thought I would ask is are there are eyebeam users who successfully
use * or for
any suggestions from * folk. Please feel free to email direct so as
not clog up the
list (highly suggested!). I suppose since I paid for them I should post
to the xten
support list as well...
