Flashing Active ZAP Channels
My problem is that I'm trying to do a flash on an active ZAP channel to transfer a call, but every time the flash is performed the caller that im trying to transfer gets disconnected. Here is a longer explanation of whats going on. I have a situation where I am linking asterisk upto a PABX via FXO modules. Calls will come in via the traditional PABX and be transfered to the asterisk system

Generating Recall/Flash using Zaptel
Hi I'm trying to generate a Recall/Flash on an FXO (TDM400) connected to a PABX and failing at the moment. I was using the Flash application, which seems to generate a hook flash as opposed to a Recall. Debugging the Zap channel output using a second FXS channel gives me the following << [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [Zap/1-1] << [ TYPE: DTMF (1) SUBCLASS: 1 (49) ]

Re: call waiting beep on PSTN and TDM400P FXO linehook flash
I had a similar issue with sending a flash to the PSTN for call waiting. I found that my dial plan in the extensions.conf file was not allowing me to dial *xx. Once I corrected my dial plan I was able to dial *0, *69, *78, *79, etc. Training the wife on how to actually use it was an entirely different issue. I have not tried to enable 3-way calling via the PSTN. "Jeff Otterson"

call waiting beep on PSTN and TDM400P FXO line hook flash
I have been looking for the answer to this question for a while. Google-ing and reading the archives of Asterisk-Users has not enlightened me. It seems that this question has been asked many times, and many times it has gone unanswered. I have call waiting and three way calling on my PSTN line from Verizon (the local telco). This is connected to a FXO port on a TDM400P. I also have

zaptel, bristuff zaphfc, and florz question
Hi, We've been using zaphfc single ISDN cards as cheap Zaptel timing sources for our Asterisk boxes for a long time, and in the asterisk 1.0.x series, had zero problems doing so. I now have some boxes with Zaptel 1.2.x (with a mixture of 1.0.x asterisk and 1.2.x asterisk), and this setup no-longer seems stable - By plugging or unplugging the ISDN cable, and sometimes just randomly the card

Why is PQMSTATUS empty?
Hey all! I'm trying to do a bit of logic here so that a user only has to dial one code to pause/unpause in a queue (e.g. *0 will (un)pause depending on the users's state). My logic looks fine to me but every time ${PQMSTATUS} shows up empty. Here's the extensions.conf part.... exten => *0,1,NoOp(${PQMSTATUS}) exten => *0,n,Macro(user-callerid,SKIPTTL,) exten =>

Hook-flash timing
Hi, Is there any documentation on the fields prewink, preflash, wink, flash, rxwink, rxflash, start and debounce in zapata.conf? The "Recall" button on my phone doesn't seem to trigger a transfer via my shiny new TDM40B. However, tapping the hook does, but only if I tap it for long enough. Presumably the "Recall" button's timing is too short? Further, most users who

SPA-3000 call pickup behind a PABX
Hi Folks, I am running a SPA-3000 behind a legacy PABX on an analog line. I have been able to set up a dial plan that sends outgoing calls out to the appropriate VSP depending on prefix, and that part and the incoming call handling works fine. I am now trying to implement call pickup (dial 6*) or manual call forwarding (flash, dial extension). On the first of these I have worked out how to get

ultra-cheap asterisk box -> sorta OT, more a bout Dell
FWIW: I order a lot of Dells. My boss is cheap. That being said, I *like* Dell, it's a very well designed box. It's been said many times that Dell does not innovate, instead they copy and improve and I firmly agree with the "improve" part - they are a dream to work on. Some things to watch out for with Dell: 1. They typically tack on a shipping charge of $139 Cdn (yes they

Operating queues with clients on a legacy PABX
Hi guys! I'm having one or two issues with queues hosted by an Asterisk machine where the clients are on a legacy PABX - at least for the interim. I fully expect most of these issues to be non-resolvable, but thought I'd at least ask to find out if there is some way of working around the issues. The legacy PABX is an NEC 7400 ICS connected to Asterisk via an E1 ISDN link. Calls are

CDR dst value null after attended transfer
I'm having an issue with CDR. Basically, I expect to have all "legs" of a call having the same linkedid and differing only by the sequence value. That does happen, but I'm getting null dst values after doing an attended transfer. I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm doing something wrong. I'm running Asterisk 13.2.0. Here's the console log, step by step: First,

Linking Asterisk 1.8 to late model Samsung PABX over PRI - transfer issues
Hi all I've got a setup where I use a Sangoma PRI card driven via Sangoma WanPipe to connect to a legacy Samsung PABX (I'm not sure which model) form Asterisk 1.8.11.0. The reason is the customer has a large installed base of Samsung phones physically connected to it and on each users desk. They did not want to spring for a complete replace of all their Samsung phones with generic, and

New GXP-2000 Beta firmware available
>From the usual place, http://www.grandstream.com/BETATEST/GXP2000/ Note, there are two (and it took me a bit of a while to figure out) images to be loaded. Copy the ...a.bin's and the .bin's to your http provisioning directory, and reboot. The phone _must_ load the .bin files before it understands the ..a.bin files. After it loads the first one, the phone does lock up with the

Hook flash time problem on TDM400/FXS
I have been trying for some time now to make the hook flash work on the FXS port. I am using Asterisk 1.4.10.1 with zaptel 1.4.4. When I "manually" flash the hook I can manage to find the duration to put a call on hold. However when pushing the flash button it never works. The phone's flashtime seems to be too short. I tried to set a shorter flashtime in the zapata.conf file, but it

Query regarding connecting PABX with Application server
? Dear all, We are connecting the PABX with Application server. What we are trying is that when a nbr 1800 (this is not registered in PABX) is dialled the pabx should route the call to Application server .The PABX should also have intelligence to route the call by itself for its registered clients. For this scenario to work please guide us what are the files we need to change and other necessary
