Unfortunately some "wise" Red Hat people didn't bother to put Firefox i386 in the standard Fedora Core 3 x86-64

Open Office 1.9.x
Having used Open Office 1.9.x on the XP side of my box, I decided to
install it on the CentOS side. (The default OO was 1.1.2, for heaven's
sake!) I downloaded the Linux 386 version from the OO site.
I immediately ran into problems--
1) The installation instructions were for OO 1.x.
2) The download appears to be source RPMs.
Although I've used UNIX & Linux for over 15 years,

[LLVMdev] patches and problem...
Hmm,
I guess I need a sys::Math::getRandom() function that uses a "good" random
number generator on the given platform. I'll make a note of this and tuck it
away for future implementation.

Reducing the deleterious effects ofego related issues on the list
Bryan... NOBODY CARES how many times Chris is wrong.
NOBODY CARES what you prove on this point.
Whether Chris is right, wrong or stoopid is NOT proper fodder for this (CENTOS) list.
Chris being wrong is *strictly* a "Bryan Fixation".
Part of YOU growing up is YOU realizing that whether Chris is or is not
wrong is UNIMPORTANT to ANYTHING that you or anybody important

[LLVMdev] patches and problem...
Here I am again...
I missed that in the previous diff, they are the usual missing
<algorithm> and the std:: namespace missing in sort, find, make_pair.
Alkis can you please give them an eye when you have time?
The next major problem is that VC has only
int rand(void)
void srand( int seed )
So I donno how to compile the
ExecutionEngine/Interpreter/ExternalFunctions.cpp that refers to the

the questoin is, what if we want 12 ports?..well, really, i don't understand
the limitations? is it simply zaptel driver code fix? or kernel fix? or
technology limitation? donno any tips would

I actually modified the old UW IMAP 2002 SPEC file from RHL9/FC1,
and modified a few config files, to support UW IMAP 2004b.
I made one with both RFC3501 (no text passwords over SSL) and

Where do my RPMs actually go, and is it different for Red Hat builds?
I'm trying to install themes for KDE. In doing so, I came across the
following web site which seems to have the themes I want as RPMs:
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/17/dept/3/idg/User+Interface_Desktop
The theme I want is called "Thinkeramik", and it has the following
versions, for various Red Hat builds:

Why is yum not liked by some?
I have seen messages posted on the Fedora oriented forums that imply
that "yum" is antiquated. Not being a Linux guru, I do not have the
experience to make a thorough evaluation, but so far it has been just great.

My asterisk box is built on Fedora Core 3 linux system. After compiling drivers from junghanns.net the card driver was loaded correctly with

- insmod qozap.ko ( as FC3 is running a 2.6 linux kernel)
- ztcfg -vvv ( shows 12 channels correctly configured and the 4 leds on the card were

I've used samba for many years now on various platforms and its worked very

on one machine and have been following the clear and simple instructions here:
