ZyXEL Prestige 2000W SIP hangup fails
Does anybody have any experience with the ZyXEL Prestige 2000W? I am
having problems with the line tear down when I call another extension.
If nobody picks up at the other end when I hangup the 2000W, the other
extension continues to ring. Is there any way to hangup a SIP call if
there is no more traffic? Asterisk seems to think that there is still a
connection open. This is pretty annoying

WiFi phone radiation regulation?
All,
I just had the fortune to take one of the new Senao Wifi SIP phones for
a short test drive. First look - it's a nice, compact phone. Weighs
around 87g and roughly the size of a Nokia 6210. More on the those
later. The thing that struck me was the RF power, it's rated at 100mw
(20dBm). That's 10 times more than any of the other brands out on the
market Cisco, WiSIP, Zyxel

Hi,
Anyone have any experience with either of these, I 'd appreciate some

ZyXEL Prestige 200w - should I return it ?
Hi all
I have just got a P2000w and experience several problems. Hopefully there is
someone out there that has got it working. I saw it on Cebit and the person
demonstrating it there told me that it was connected to an Asterisk server
on the stand -so it should work.
Problem 1: it does not register correctly
It get lots of messages like this:

C7960 g729 question
I have multiple voiceage g729 licenses installed on a RH9 box, and have
a remote C7960 configured to use it (low bandwidth). In calls like:
Remote C7960 -> g729 -> asterisk -> g711 -> C7960
the audio is oftentimes rather choppy. Changing the remote 7960 to use
g711 seems to eliminate/reduce the choppyness. Any ideas on what might
be behind this?

"Statistiques avec R"
Dear R users,
I want to share my joy with you. Please see the following
excellent introduction to R "Statistiques avec R " by
Vincent Zoonekynd

In paticular, you can see a lot of fascinating graphics
examples of R from which you can get many hints.

did not show nothing with the keyword

Okay, I want to do something similar to SAS proc format.
I usually do this...

divisionTable <- matrix(c(1, "New England",
2, "Middle Atlantic",
3, "East North Central",

sip.conf not paying attention to allow/disallow
In my sip.conf, under general I have:
disallow=all
allow=g729
allow=alaw
allow=ulaw
Then I have a specific sip:
[RNK]
<clip>
disallow=all
allow=alaw
allow=ulaw
allow=gsm
If I do this:
exten => _9.,1,Dial(${EXTEN}@RNK,60)
The call still goes out as G729 even though I've told the RNK to disallow
g729. I need to be able to make other 729 calls but to this one paticular
group, they

cross tabulation: convert frequencies to percentages
Hello,
might be rather easy for R pros, but I've been searching to the dead
end to ...
twsource.area <- table(twsource, area, useNA="ifany")
gives me a nice cross tabulation of frequencies of two factors, but
now I want to convert to pecentages of those absolute values. In
addition I'd like an extra column and an extra row with absolute sums.
I know, Excel or the

voice over atlantic
Hi-
I'm using IAX between two boxes, where one box is located in US and the
second in Europe. I'm trying to achieve the best voice quality and
mainly reliability between these boxes and looking for hints and
experience of others.
Facts:
- Asterisk 1.0.7
- RTT varies from 130-170 ms, depends on time and actual Internet
throughput
Questions:
- What is the sugested codec for such setup?

cannot generate tempfile `/tmp/puppet.30616.9'
I have three (out of 90) machines with the error: cannot generate
tempfile `/tmp/puppet.30616.9''
I have plenty of disk and plenty of inodes.
My temp directory is permissioned: drwxrwxrwt 4 root root 20480

I get these for two puppet items on each row.
The daemon is not running. I run it manually using /usr/sbin/puppetd

You know what windows did with the "default" local, Administrator on the PC..
They disabled them...
If you joined a domain, then still, the PC administrator is disabled.
And the users is called PCNAME\Administrator and not Administrator
You have "BUILTIN\Administrator" on the servers. ( or SERVERNAME\Administrator )
I hope this helps you understanding your problem a

Binaries for AIX 5.1
Hi,
I'm looking for binaries of Samba 3 for AIX 5.1
The ones availables on Samba's FTP (
http://us3.samba.org/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/AIX/ ) are given for AIX
5.2 or 5.3 (what is said in the README)
I found references to 3.0.21 packages (like in this message
http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2006-January/116792.html ) that had
existed, but this one is no longer avaible :(
So, do
