What is an E400P-SS7??
Hi,
Is this card the same as the T410P, after all, it's made by Digium.
There's one prior reference on the mailint list[1] but it didn't answer
the question.
There was also an SS7 status report[2] last June but it's doesn't seem to
have lead anywhere either. There was post saying an SS7 release was
immenent last September[3], but then silence.
Any info anyone would like to

OpenSS7 T400P-SS7 and Digium T400P
Hi,
I've posted this question on OpenSS7 mailing list but I didn't get a
clear answer. I have a system running asterisk using Digium T400P card. Can
this same card be used with OpenSS7 project to carry SS7 links? Is there any
difference between these two cards?

SS7 status report 2
Hi,
there are still some questions to be answered by OpenSS7.com
in order to decide, whether E400P-SS7 is a good choice for
the asterisk SS7 support.
In the meanwhile I'm also in negotiations with another
manufacturer (whose name I currently may not tell due to
a NDA) of SS7 hardware, who gets likely persuaded to offer
a cheap SS7-PCI-card which would be suitable for asterisk.

Status-info 1: Signalling C7 / SS7
Hi,
one month ago, I announced, that I will look at the openss7
project in order to use it together with asterisk.
It took a while for me to check the capabilities
of and around the project. Since the openss7 project consists
of only one person, and when there was just silence for a long
time in the project's mailing list, I doubted, whether
it was a good idea to consider using openss7.

SS7
Hi,
Does Asterisk support SS7?
Google shows an old new post from Feb. 2002 stating that OpenSS7 would help
add SS7 support to Asterisk, but presently OpenSS7 seems to be dead and I
can't seem to find anything about it at Asterisk or Digium's sites. What
happened?

TE410P lights don't blink read after the module is loaded
Greetings,
According to the FAQ "When you load the module and have no
circuit/channel bank the LED's should flash red"
I get the "knight rider" lights before the module loads, but after the
modules are loaded I don't get any lights, other equipment plugged in or
not.
The card has been on my shelf a while so I wonder if it needs a firmware
upgrade ? Can the cards

SS7 over Asterisk ?
Hello..
I have a customer who wants to connect 2 PBX's over IP..
The setup should look like this:
[PBX] <-- SS7 --> [Asterisk] <-- IAX --> [Asterisk] <-- SS7 --> [PBX]
Since there are no SS7 cards , I was thinking at a way of carrying the E1 data as bulk...Can I do that ? How ?
Is possible a scenario like this ? I'm thinking of IAX because I don't

Who would use Asterisk SS7?
Hello. I am new to this forum. If this issue has been discussed already,
please inform me, but my STFW have indicated that it has not.
If SS7 were available on * would it make commercial sense to use it? There
are case studies on the web (courtesy of the Death Star :->) for ISPs with
10,000+ subscriber lines showing clear cost savings in transitioning from PRI
to SS7 controlled IMT. My

In reference to an old post from 2002:

How does one go about doing this?
Also, what is the present status of the OpenSS7 stack in Asterisk? What
can it do now?
And is there any possibility in the future of developing a DS3 card
for it, if only for the purpose of mostly DACSing? Which is still a level

SS7 links
Has anyone tried to get dialogic ss7 trunking to work
with Asterisk?
I did some googling but nothing helpful turned up...
Could a person get an intel dialogic and get * to see it
like a zap channel?
And use it for incoming and outgoing trunk access?

Availability of T400P and E400P
Good day everyone,
A Solution now exists for those of you still looking for the first model of Quad T1/E1 Interface Cards - the T400P and E400P.
The T400P and E400P were manufactured by Digium until a few months ago, and were designed and released under the GNU Public License as the
Tormenta II by Zapata Telephony.
Varion, Inc. is now in full production manufacturing these boards. With the

T400P & E400P second source
Since i'm sure there are others out there in the same position as me, being disappointed that the original T400P and E400P cards are no longer available from Digium, I thought I would pass on a place I found to get them. I needed the older card, since I didn't want to have to get a motherboard with 3.3v pci slots on it.

E400P vs te410p vs te411p
Hi,
I found E400P quad PRI card quite cheap (749USD):
http://www.govarion.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=2&osCsid=68cdd6e3d08754
in comparison to te410p (approx 1500 USD )

Now newer generation with HW echo canceling emerged (te411p).
I'm not sure in what things those two cards

TDM10B problem
Ok. I just got a TDM10B and it is in with my X100P. So as it says in the
provided instructions, I used the command
modprobe tor2
I get an error message saying that there is no such device.
My zaptel.conf looks like this:
fxsks=1
fxoks=2
So I load the X100P first. (modprobe wcfxo)
Then I load the TDM10B (modprobe tor2)
Then I'm told that the device doesn't exist.
Please help

problem with Wildcard 100XP and hangup signal
Hi,
We are currently testing Asterisk with Wildcard 100XP and serveral Cisco ATA Box. Everything works great except
that the card does not detect the hangup signal. We are using a standard Belgian PSTN line. I have not found
anything about a be zone (only us, fr, de, nl, ...). Does someone experience the same problem? Do I need to create
a new zone be (and how to do that)?

Accurate Billing
<P>hi everyone,</P>
<P>I know this issue has been raised many times before, i think still the problem remains. When a call is made through a Zap channel, whether it is actually made or not (irrespective of whether, engaged, busy, or actually answered), asterisk logs it in CDRs as a call made. This makes it impossible to do an accurate billing. Has anybody found a way to overcome

Re: [Asterisk-ss7] Asterisk - ss7
I thought everyone should know this.
Jorge, After reading your page in the
http://voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+SS7
please advise Your U.S. customers that SS7 is not done the same way as
in the rest of the world and the requirements are different. The U.S
carrier's require 2 redundant links. I know this first hand because we
run an SS7 network.
