to help me on the following :
1. The receive and transmit is too soft. So i increased the txgain and rxgain. The volume is fine after this, but there is a lot of 'wind' noise on the line.

indication tones and callwaiting chirp too loud
I am wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to turn down the volume on all the dial tones, indications, etc.. and especially the call-waiting CHIRP!
I don't want to change the txgain and rxgain because they are working at levels that I would like. However, when voice conversations and voicemail recordings are at good levels then the dial tones, busy tones, etc are way too loud.

DTMF problems while greeting is playing (Background())
Hi,
I have a Digium TE410p T1 card and I've noticed that under asterisk
1.4.17/18 I have problems detecting DTMF in IVRs. I think I've
narrowed the problem down to some sort of interference between the
greeting that is playing and the DTMF tones. DTMF detection seems to
work very reliably when I am in Read() or WaitExten(), but is
absolutely unusable while in Background().
I hope someone

ztmonitor
Good day list,
I am feeling extra stupid this Monday morning and am hoping
someone can come to the rescue.
I am trying to use the ztmonitor utility on my wildfire 4 FXO
card. and have read the following from the wiki.
*********Wiki start********
If you set this to yes, use ztmonitor to adjust the rxgain and txgain.
Ztmonitor isn't installed by default; but it is included with the Zaptel

More DTMF issues
Still grasping at straws trying to solve DTMF detection issues with one
of my asterisk servers. This particular server is now running Asterisk
1.4.18.1 and Zaptel 1.4.9.2 in runlevel 3 (console only) with 2 X100P
cards. I have tried adjusting channel gains, turning call progress and
relaxdtmf on and off, switching echo cancelers, just about everything
that Google turns up and I can't

Detecting DTMF Tones from Muted app_meetme Participants
Hi, folks.
I have a problem using Asterisk 1.2. I create conferences using
app_meetme and Zap channels, and for every participant I run the script
defined by AGI_BACKGROUND_SCRIPT to be able to listen and react to DTMF
tones. As the docs tell me, when using the AGI background script one
loses the ability to control the meetme conference via the command line
so for muting conference participants I

Adit 600 - Getting Dial Tone
Hello, I have an Adit 600 (3 FXS cards) hooked up to a digium T1 card in my
asterisk box. I 'connected' the slots to the a:1 T1 interfaces via the
command line. The slots (3 fxs) are configured with 'ls' signaling. I
configured the T1 card with the same line settings as the T1 interfaces on
the adit and I get green lights on both the T1 card and the T1 interface on
the adit (so

Asterisk DTMF 'talkoff' issues
Hi List,
I am using Asterisk 1.6.2.18. One strange problem come into my knowledge
after using this version of asterisk.
Without pressing any digits or key from my mobile, I am getting DTMF into my
asterisk server.
For getting DTMF I have use one opensourse application which gets events
from asterisk server and store into database. And after that I made my own
script to gets these DTMF keys and

RX/TXgain on bristuff/zaptel ?
Do bristuffed zaptel (zaphfc) supporting rxgain/txgain in zapata.conf?
I'm changing rxgain in zapata.conf, and reloading zaptel, but sound
level on ISDN(HFC) is always the same (loud).

Toshiba DK424 / Asterisk / DTMF problems
I have a Toshiba DK424 connected via T1 E&M to a TE110P card.
Intermittently when a user dials a number I am getting 'getdtmf' errors on
the Ast server and the calls do not go through. If they dial the number
once or twice more, it works fine and I receive no DTMF problems.
On another note, end users are complaining about intermittent disconnects.
T1 is ESF/B8ZS - 24 chan. Other

Duplicate DTMF
Hello, all. I've come across a nasty problem just as we are ready to
put our first system into production. During our final testing, we were
plagued with several "invalid extension" or "password incorrect"
messages when we knew the information entered was correct. Upon
investigation, we saw that DTMF signals were occasionally but not
consistently duplicated. We might

Ztmonitor values when zap channel is onhook
Hello,
In my quest to figure out the source of the random echo on our shiny new
asterisk install, I have been using ztmonitor on the TDM400p channels
for the good part of today.
I have 2 TDM400p cards with 8 FXO modules and 6 pots lines connected to
them (last 2 channels are unused but configured in zaptel). Even when
the lines are onhook, the Tx values settle down to 0 but the Rx values

DAHDI volume
Is there a reasonably easy way to increase the volume on a DAHDI
channel? The VOIP phones in the house work OK, but for the phones
connected to DAHDI channels on a Digium TDM400P card, the volume is very
low and it's hard to hear if there is any background noise at all. If
this is documented, point me to where and I'll gladly do my reading.
Thanks,

Calibrating both RX and TX gain?
Hello!
I'm having an echo problem with a TDM card. The TDM card is being fed by
a channel bank just 12 or so feet away. When you put an analog handset on
the line, both the RX and TX volume seem to be just fine. However, when I
use the TDM card, I have to have an rxgain of 13.5, and even then, the
audio is relatively quiet. I'm also getting echo on these lines, so I
have turned

Weird..bridging to Zap channel FXS instead of bridging to PSTN FXO on outgoing group
Hi All,
Channels 25-28 on a customers PBX are regular Zaptel FXO cards that
are hooked into 4 incomming phone lines. They are all in a group to do
automatic rollover for outgoing calls (if channel 25 is being used,
dial on channel 26, etc.).
Sometimes when a user is dialing a number, instead of bridging to one
of the FXO cards it goes and rings to Zap/1-1.
This doesnt occur all the time but some
