Dead air on 7960 sip at start of call.
Hi, Despite much searching, I can't find anything quite like the problem we seem to be experiencing with our recently activated asterisk pbx. Of four people answering several calls per five minutes, I have reports of the occasional call starting with dead air. The user picks up the call from the queue, and they can hear that the line is too quiet. If they start talking, the caller either

introduced Agents and * stops answering calls
Hi, I've looked through the list archives, bug tracker and cvs changelogs and can't see anything that refers to the particular problem i've seen recently. I'm running CVS-D2004.06.09.14.00.00-06/24/04-00:43:55 which I realise is not exactly recent, but I wanted to find out more before I updated. We've had asterisk running for our office using 7960's and a TE410P for a

Asterisk with PostgreSQL
Hello Everybody, I am trying to configure Asterisk to listen into a database which is created in PostgreSQL. Whenever asterisk starts up, it is unable to connect to the pg database and gives the following error: [cdr_pgsql.so] => (PostgreSQL CDR Backend) == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/cdr_pgsql.conf': Found Jun 24 21:20:53 DEBUG[1074494336]: cdr_pgsql.c:284 my_load_module: cdr_pgsql:

Setup for Go2call ? Or any SIP provider using phonejack or linejack g729 g723
Hi, does anyone have the setup for go2call ? I have digium boards and quicknet linejacks and phonejacks. The cards work fine in asterisk without the g729 or g723.1 for the phonejack. I will like to do SIP origination using the codec in the phonejack and linejack g729 or g723 and send the calls to go2call. Anyone has the setup for this ? Or similar setup to a SIP provider using g729 or g723

Callgroups and Pickupgroups in Console/dsp
Hi all. I've made a patch for chan_oss.c to enable callgroups and pickupgroups in it (since wasn't enabled). I needed it for a special use of the console (pickup calls arriving to the console from another phone) btw, If someone is interested, I can submit a patch to the bugtracker. I won't do it until that's usefult for someone... since is a very special features that probably no

Polycom and call waiting again..
I searched and read all the relevant posts, but I still don't have a solution to my problem.. I've got a small queue for tech support calls using AddQueueMember. The agents are using IP300's from polycom. In my example, only one agent is logged int. When a call comes into the queue, asterisk sends the call to the one agent logged in. The agent answers and is talking to the

callgroup and pickupgroup
Hi, I asked a time ago what were callgroup and pickup group used for. I have done some proofs and all, and I'm not sure if I have pick the idea up well!! That's what I understand: For example: group=1 callgroup =2 and pickupgroup=2 and my phone is a membership of the group 1. that's mean that when a phone that belong to group 2 is ringing, I'll be able to answer this call dialing

Zap callgroup/pickupgroup question
I'm trying to set up asterisk so any phone connected to channel 1-16 of my Adit600 channel bank can pick up a call coming in on channel 24. I do not wish to ring any of the 16 channels on an incoming call -- this is strictly so I can pick up the line if I see it ringing and wish to answer at work. I have channel 24 in call group 3, and channels 1-16 in pickup groups 1 and 3. However

SIP Callgroups
Hi all, at time i am trying to get a better idea of callgroups and pickupgroups (especially within the SIP Channel) A Pickupgroup is relative clear - everyone in the same pickupgroup may pickup a call And a callgroup does what ? - The same ? I thought that a callgroup would act like the ZAP groups - so that you then can dial SIP/g1 - and every SIP Client which is in the callgroup 1 does then

Problems with app_realtime
It seems that when setting qualify = 200 or qualify = yes in the database for a sip friend/peer, RealTime does not update the registration status like it should. I also have several peers which have been offline and Asterisk still reports them as registered, even though the registration seconds are only 200. Outbound calling with TDM400P
I am trying to place an analog outbound call from a Sipura SPA-841 through a * server with a TDM400P and 4 FXO's. When I call in from an analog line everything works fine, I can talk over the SIP phone. When I call out, * says: == Spawn extension (from-sip, [phonenumber], 1) exited non-zero on 'SIP/sipphone-d29d' -- Executing Dial("SIP/sipphone-9eb0",

Solution to my Grandstream lockups
Like many others on this list, I had been experiencing periodic lockups with my Grandstream products (Handytone 286 ATA & BudgeTone 101). The lockups consisted of seemingly dead devices, no dialtone or response, until I power cycled via software or hardware. The workaround had been to reboot the device every 30 minutes with a cron job. I contacted Grandstream and although they didn't

picking up a ringing extension
Hello, We are using asterisk 0.4.0 on debian sid with Cisco 7960 and ATA186 phones. All sip entries have: callgroup=1 pickupgroup=1 However I am unable to remotely pickup a ringing phone using *8#. I get fast busy tone. Is there some flag to add in extensions.conf ? Thanks in advance,

Problems with pickupgroup/callgroup with Asterisk 1.8.4.2
I have problems using the call pickup under Asterisk 1.8.4.2. I have another Asterisk with 1.6 - and it is working fine with the same settings. I have setup the same callgroup and pickupgroup for all extensions in sip.conf - just to make things simple for testing. The sequence *8 seems to be completely ignored by Asterisk - the client shows "Call answered" when dialing *8 while the
