Final Help on setting up x100p
Hi.
I have installed a x100p (THE x100p for those who have seen my former
post). Now I just want to connect a "normal" phone (not an IP phone) to
the card and use it as a sip extension (I have a FWD account)... more
clearly:
I want to be able to pick up the phone and call any FWD user using my
FWD account... receive the FWD calls in that phone, and also to be able
to make normal

RE: Delegation of authentication (S4U) and SAMBA
Hello,
Does samba support the use of S4U?
What do we need to configure in SAMBA or krb5 to support getting a
ticket obtained by S4U. We are using 3.0.25 and krb5-1.4.1
We are getting the following error:
decode_pac_data: Name in PAC [username@something1.something2.realmname]
does not match principal name in ticket
The ticket could be different than the PAC name because the

How can I make a rotative board?
Hi.
Can you give me some hints on how I can create a rotational board?
I dont even know how to spell it in english. What I want is to have more
than one line reserved, but with a single phone number, so that people
can call to the same number and get a ringing signal if any of the lines
is available, instead of having to dial 5 different numbers in order to
get a free line. This is done

RDSI vs Analogic
Hi. I'm getting new lines for using with Asterisk. In my Telco they said
I could choose between Analogic lines and RDSI lines... I've already
bought a TDM400P with FXO modules. Can you give some hints on the
differences between RDSI and normal Analogic lines? Would I have
problems for using a RDSI line with the TDM? Any other issue in general?
Thanks in advance,
RODOLFO

let incoming callers contact a certain extension...
Hi everyone!
The following: Any calls coming in on extension 12121212 should get a
message telling them to dial the extension of the person they are trying
to reach, and then press #.
The call should then go to the entered extension.
This is as far as I got...

SPA3102 interdigit timers bug?
Hi. I have a SPA3102 updated with with Software Version: 5.1.7(GW).
I have this settings on Voice/Regional:
Interdigit Long Timer: 10
Interdigit Short Timer: 3
Anyway, when hooking up (without dialing anything), the timeout starts
after 3 seconds. It's like the Long Timer is unused. After dialing, the
Short Timer is also used to timeout.
Is that normal? Am I missing something?
Thanks.

SIP # DTMF
Hi. In creating a custom extension, and dialing
SIP/222/333#444, seems the party receives only "333"
What should I do to send the # symbol? or better, where can I find that
syntax? Googled a lot, nothing.
Thanks!

Secondary Dialtone and selecting a specific line from Zap/g
I need to select a line from the Zap group channel
using the SIP Phone (not FXO and not FXS ports).
ignorepat does not work?
Also, what is the method to let the second dial tone
has another tone frequency?
Regards
Bilal
----------------
No, ignorepat is for FXS ports (FXS ports use FXO
signaling). Also,
ignorepat does not apply to SIP phones, because SIP
phones provide

What about a higher level configuration language
Hi all.
I've been reading through Wi-Ki and at the extensions.conf file
description (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+config+extensions.conf)
The author says this:
"One day, someone is going to write a proper scripting language for
Asterisk that can understand a simpler, easier (and more traditional)
scripting syntax. All it would need to do is translate the "high

channels to destroy
Hello,
In a couple of Asterisks, after type "sip show channels" we have a lot
of these:
IP_PEER dst_number something 00102/00103 unkn No (d) Rx: BYE
IP_PEER dst_number2 something2 00102/00103 unkn No (d) Rx: BYE
We are using ASterisk 1.2.x
When I say "a lot" I mean more than 180, more than 230, etc.
Is it normal?
How we can remove it?
Thank you very much,

Setting CDR variables for all linked channels
Hi,
when one does "Set(CDR(var)=value)" in dialplan, the value is only set for
one record in the cdr table, but not the linked ones (the ones with the
same linkedid).
E.g. if you do something like
same => n, Set(CDR(var)=value)
same => n,Dial(Local/something&Local/something2)
like only the original CDR record with have "var" set to "value", but the

A question on dummy variable
Dear all, I would like to ask one question related to statistics, for
specifically on defining dummy variables. As of now, I have come across 3
different kind of dummy variables (assuming I am working with Seasonal
dummy, and number of season is 4):
> dummy1 <- diag(4)
> for(i in 1:3) dummy1 <- rbind(dummy1, diag(4))
> dummy1 <- dummy1[,-4]

[QUAR] How can I make a rotative board?
Rodolfo,
I haven't looked up how to do this with sip phones, but the zap channels can be configured in
groups that will hunt through the group until a non-busy line is found.

Here is a link to PBX hunting with the dial plan.
