Greetings, I'm having a miserable time getting Asterisk working with FWD. All the samples show something like... exten => _7., .... How do I get Asterisk to wait until the user is finished dialing instead of trying as soon as it gets the second digit? I can use _7XXX, and dial the FWD 3-digit test numbers fine, but I'd like to be able to dial others... Same problem for outside

Hi list, I have some problems to get the QuickNet Internet PhoneJack working. What .conf files do I have to edit to get a dialtone for the first test with the standard configs from asterisk? I have the ixj driver running and a cat /proc/ixj after asterisk start tells me one reader and one writer. But if I pick up the receiver I don't get a dialtone nor I'm able to dial a number.

How will this fare? I am planning on putting an asterisk box for my brother in the Philippines but they only have dialup internet. I want them to be able to use a telephone set on a phonejack or linejack card and call me and vice versa via VOIP. My setup in the US is working already with a broadband cable connection. I am thinking that dialup may not work because of the bandwidth required

I have a grandstream, and the sound is great, but I'm looking for more of an office style phone, preferably that can handle multiple lines, has a more flexible display (i.e. name as well as number). Being very new to Asterisk, I'm not quite sure I know what I'm doing, and would appreciate some help. What I have so far: Quicknet PhoneJack card Asterisk Slackware 9.0 IAX protocol GSM libraries I have everything installed on my Slackware box (actually I have two of them and I want to set them up so that they can call each other) with an analog phone connected to the PhoneJack card.
