Help? Running into problems with migrateToURI2() and virDomainDefCheckABIStability()
Hi, We've run into a problem with libvirt 1.1.2 and are looking for some comments on whether this is a bug or design intent. We're trying to use migrateToURI() but we're using a few things (numatune, vcpu mask, etc.) that may need adjustment during the migration. We found that migrateToURI2() mostly works if we use XML created by copying the domain XML from the running instance

Winbind traffic not encrypted
A problem here getting winbind traffic to be encrypted using Kerberos. I have set up a test environment with a pair of servers (actually lxc containers): - samba server (ubuntu 16.04, stock samba 4.3.11) - client machine (ubuntu 16.04) joined with "net ads join" and winbind The client machine has the following in /etc/samba/smb.conf: ------- [global] #netbios name = client-ad

[OT] how does ELF record file scope things?
fred.c: static void sfunc(int *p) { *p=1; } static int x; void fred(void) { ... sfunc(&x); ... } greg.c: static void sfunc(int *p) { *p=2; } static int x; void greg(void) { ... sfunc(&x); ... } Once the object files from fred.c and greg.c are linked, how does ELF distinguish the sfunc's and the x's? I've been trying to RTFM, but it hasn't helped? -- Michael

Trying to find what winetrick option I need...
I'm running POM QM for Windows, which is from Prentice hall provided by my school. QM for Linux is completely different, fyi,and not taught by my school. I really need this for homework. So far I've been just going to the lab, because I can't do any of this work on my linux laptop. I might just have to get windows installed again depending on how much I get done today. So, how

syslinux timeout
Hi. I've ever wondered how nuch timeis left to timeout while waiting at the boot prompt, so I've writen this small patch to show it. This add a configuration command 'showtimeout'. If you like the patch I could improve it (for example to show the timeout in decimal because now it uses the writehex functions) Regards. -- ______ ________ / / \/ /___ ) I N T E G

[PATCH 0/3] Use __attribute__((cleanup(...)))
This patch series changes a small part of the library to use __attribute__((cleanup(...))) to automatically free memory when pointers go out of the current scope. In general terms this seems to be a small win although you do have to use it carefully. For functions where you can completely get rid of the "exit code paths", it can simplify things. For a good example, see the
