Snom Programmable button Mini Howto and ringstate patch
It's very possible that the Polycom IP600 will work with this. As it is
just an implementation of a SIP standard for subscribing to the state of
other extensions.
As for the feature improvements you might see them from me, but not very
likely. It is easier for me to train my customers to hit *8 (I will
probably just program a pickup button for them) than it is for me to
figure out what I

Snom Programmable button Mini Howto and ring state patch
The snom 200 and 220 have five programmable buttons. Each button has a
led that can be used to indecate if an extension is idle, in use, or
ringing. A button pannel for the 220 is also comming out soon that will
have 20'ish programmable buttons on board.
This is a killer app for any company that has receptionists handle
calls, and pretty usefull for everyone else.
As a matter of fact,

snom - blinking leds on fuction keys when call is not yet established - how?
hi,
i just ported the patch of David Hinkle
http://www.mail-archive.com/asterisk-users@lists.digium.com/msg49781.html
to the current cvs version of asterisk. the theory is that the leds of
supervisioned extensions are blinking until a call is established
whereafter the leds should be constantly lit.
however it's not working.
the asterisk server is sending the following xml notify to the

asterisk call parking + SNOM lighted buttons?
I'm trying to get call parking working with the lighted buttons on the
SNOM 200. I have set the 5 buttons to "Park Orbit", for extensions 700-704.
Pressing the first button (x700) does park the call. However, the
remaining buttons (x701-704) don't allow me to pick up parked calls, or
show parking status via the LEDs. I can only pick up parked calling by
manually dialing the

Snom 360 not dial with direct buttons
I have a strange problem with a Snom 360. I have a pair of them and one is
acting just fine. The other one has 2 problems, one of which I think is a
configuration issues, but I cannot track it down.
The main problem with that phone is that the display is wonky. When I last
saw it, with the display all the way down and after a power cycle, it was
fine. But just before that, the display looked

Use of the "hint" modifiers - examples, anyone?
I have found some references to the "hint" (or HINT?) variable and
method in the source code, but quite a bit of Google-ing has not
turned up any extensive answers as to some real-life examples of how
to use this perhaps very useful tool. I understand the point of the
tool, but I need to get some actual configs to look at before I think
I'll figure it out. Even if my

Snom 300 Hints and LIne Buttons
Can anyone help with BLF for Snom 300s ? (Asterisk 1.4.10.1)
I've setup hints for a couple of Snom 300's but Asterisk doesn't send
Extension Changed messages to subscribed phones unless the second 'line'
button is used (I've tried Snom's version 6 and 7 and two difference
300s).
On the Asterisk Console I don't see any message when picking up a Snom

snom programmable buttons
Hi,
I want to pick up a call with the snom's programmable buttons(snom190
-SIP 3.60x, snom360-SIP 4.1) with asterisk server (v 1.2.0), I tried
with the option 'Destination' and when the incoming call arrive to

In this way I can only pick down it pressing the blinking button.
The solution is call the *8 or parcking the call but my pbroblem

distinctive ring on SNOM 200
Hi,
I'm trying to set up my SNOM 200 with extensions, with different
ringtones - but it doesn't seem to work.
I've defined two extensions for it in Asterisk and in the SNOM 200
configuration. In the SNOM home>settings>SIP>Lines config page, I have
set the ringer for the first extension to "ringer1", and "ringer6" for
the second. In

Snom 190, led and shared lines with asterisk
Hi All,
I am trying to setup my snom 190 so that the LED's light up when
one of my shared lines are in use.
e.g.
Extension 2 should ring on the snom and the phone associated with
extension 2 and I should be able to see if the phone associated with
extension 2 is making a call on the Snom.
I think this is achieved with hints but don't seem to be getting on very
well with it, does

hints and the sNOM 360
Hi
I am trying to get a SNOM 360 to monitor other extensions i.e. when someone
makes a call to/from another extension, one of the LED's on the SNOM 360 will
change state. I am using 1.0.9/bristuff-8l.
I have 2 extensions - 2001 is a SNOM 190, 2002 is a 360 - both are running
the latest firmware. (3.60i for 190, 4.0 for 360). I have read all the

AW: AW: Snom 200 with two extns defined anyone?
Please forgive me if this is a silly question. I've been following this
thread in the hope that I could put my * server and snom 200 into
full-time service very soon. I need to find out how to have the lines
configured so that it does not return a busy reply when only one call
instances is engaged.
Am I supposed to create multiple extensions on my asterisk dialplan to
reflect the 5 call

NEWBIE Question: Asterisk with multiline/button phones
This is a very newb. question.
Been using asterisk very happily now for several months and am considering
getting some of those really 'cool' multi-button phones with LEDs and
buttons.
It's unclear to me if it is a straightforward task to actually setup a
multiline 'presence' on the phones where the LED's light up when someone
picks up a 'line' or is using a

Sipura SIP Phones Multi-Line Appearance... How to use? |----->WAS----> NEWBIE Question: Asterisk with multiline/button phones
Still looking for some direction with this subject:
I think the term is called multi-line appearance....
Is this something that is directly supported in Asterisk?
I can't seem to find any information on it or how to actually use it....
This is where you have several sipura-841 SIP phones for example...
if someone pickes up 'line1' I'd like the light to come on on ALL
phones to

Rsync Hangs 100% of the time when copying files from win2k machin es to linux
Hey guys, I've been working with rsync for the last couple weeks and I
really need some help here. Linux to Linux transfers are working
beautifully, but for the life of me I can't get transfers from win2k to
work. I have the exact problem that was reported by Mark de Jong on Tue, 16
Jul 2002.
I'm using the lastest version of cygwin, with rsync 2.5.5 and ssh 3.5p1 for
my tests. The

SNOM 100 vs SNOM 200??
Hi,
I have more or less decided to do with the SNOM phones for the next stage of testing with Asterisk becasue they seem to be the best value for money and have support for the GSM codec and easy upgrades.. But now I have to decied wheather to get the 100 or 200 and if its the 200 then I need to have some justification for the extra cost..
Can someone who knows these 2 phones tell me what the

SNOM 200 beta build + MOH
I'm using the SNOM 200 latest SIP beta (so that I can have the GSM codec,
etc). Everything seems to be working fine, but the music on hold doesn't
play when I use the HOLD button on the snom. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
