SV: Queues and call waiting indication
Hi,
This issue has been discussed probably a million times on every asterisk forum in the world and I have the same problem too. Another problem you would have with the agents is that when they make an outgoing call they are not regarded as "busy" by asterisk and it sends more calls to the agent if it has call waiting enabled.
This behaviour is totally senseless since the whole purouse

SV: SV: Queues and call waiting indication
My suggestion would be the one-line eyeBeam phone under development. Check out support.xten.com.

Introspecting Active Record Associations
Hi,
I''m looking into write scaffold generators that will, amoung other
things, scaffold active record associations (eg. generate select
boxes for belongs_to where you can choose a parent object) for quicker
prototyping. But...
My question is: Is there anyway of finding out what associations
exist from examining the lodel classes themselves or indeed any other
way of finding out this

Asterisk on SuSE 9.1?
I am trying to do my first asterisk install on a SuSE 9.1 box, using the
asterisk-update script mentioned a few days ago on this list.
I did read the 'quickstart' document on onlamp.com, and made sure the
following packages were installed via yast:
bison, cvs, gcc, kernel-source, libtermcap-devel, ncurses-devel,
newt-devel, openssl096b, and openssl-devel.
The SuSE 9.1 DVD contained

[LLVMdev] TargetFrameInfo: what's local area offset
The TargetFrameInfo, amoung other things, specifies "local area offset" --
which, as comment say, is:
the offset of the local area from the stack pointer on entrance to a
function.
The question is -- what's local area? Is this the first stack location which
can be used by function for allocating its own variables?

broken message waiting indicator on Polycom IP600?
Hello,
I faithfully followed the instructions from:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Getting+MWI+on+Polycom+Phones+to+work+with+Asterisk
but still the message waiting indicator doesn't flash when a message is
waiting. There is a brief intermittent chirp but nothing more.
Using latest firmware 1.4.1
Thanks for your suggestions,

X100P to hardware PBX
I have asterisk successfully dialing out using a X100P over a normal
analogue PSTN line. But when I try to dial out over an analogue line that
goes via a hardware PBX the call asterisk does not dial. Is there a
configuration change I should make ? I am thinking of something like not
wating for dial tone.

Passing parameters for the server's hostname/ip to the client?
Hey everyone --
Is there a way to refer to the server with the tftpboot images so that
when a client is booting diskless, it can mount an nfs directory to that
tftp server?
That is to say that I have a tftp server on 192.168.0.244. The usr
directory is set to be shared amoung the diskless clients via nfs. In the
root image, I have /etc/fstab set to something like:

Message-waiting-indicator thru ZAP interfaces - how to?
I'm trying to make the MWI indicators on my client's Vodavi Starplus
DHS phones work. The actual signalling - in-band DTMF from the ZAP
interfaces directly to the PBX system - works fine. I can manually
tell asterisk to send "#9610" as DTMF and voila, the MWI on extension
10 lights (or goes out.) The question is, how is this integrated with
voicemail, i.e. so that the MWI

sip MWI Messages-Waiting: always reports no messages
Hi,
I'm having trouble getting asterisk to report MWI to a Cisco CCME.
I record a message in mailbox 29, but the subsequent MWI notifications
I see continue to report no messages waiting. Are they reporting for
the wrong mailbox? Is there some other option I have to set or change?
I'm running asterisk-1.4.22
Since the mailbox is in [home] in voicemail.conf, I've tried

Message waiting indicator
What is required to get the mwi to work? Is it more of a phone subject
or *? I have the mailbox= line in sip.conf, but only one extension is
named, and in some of the examples, I have seen that there are two...
What is that all about and how does it affect the extensions.conf and
voicemail.conf?
Thanks again.....
