no incoming pstn ring tone
Hi All, I recently upgraded from a very old stable to HEAD. For some reason, incoming callers don't hear ring tones when calling in. Everything else is working fine. Where should I look for a fix? ISDN --> E100P --> asterisk --> sipphones. Thanks Johan

Asterisk 1.0.5 won't pick up incoming calls
Hi All, I have just migrated from Asterisk 1.0.0 to Asterisk 1.0.5 and I have an X100P installed. The old asterisk was working, but now the new version isn't picking up any calls! However, I did notice that after installation, I performed modprobe zaptel and modprobe wcfxo and they worked fine, but when I executed ztcfg, I get the following errors: ioctl(ZT_LOADZONE) failed: Invalid

Streaming an audio file to a Zap channel before answer
Hi there Background: I want to add DDI and voicemail to users on an existing analogue pabx.. It does not support ISDN. I have 10 DDI numbers via IAX which I am having sent to my Asterisk box. I have 2 X100P cards connected to 2 analogue extension ports of my main legacy analogue pabx. I have set up voicemail for each of my DDI numbers, and when a call comes in for the person at pabx

Outgoing DTMF when using BRI & i4l (Eicon Diva) - problems
Hello all, This afternoon I had a BRI line installed by Telstra (our telco in Australia). I'm using an Eicon Diva 2.02 PCI ISDN card with the isdn4linux driver. Incoming and outgoing calls with Asterisk work fine (and with no echo - my main reason for getting ISDN). However, I can't seem to get outgoing DTMF working (incoming works fine). I made a call from my desk phone (Cisco 7940G)

TDM400 FXO stops handling outgoing calls, but still accepts incoming?
I have a bit of a weird problem that I'm having great trouble debugging. I have a TDM400P PCI card with two FXO and two FXS modules. Both FXO modules are connected to BT lines here in the UK. Both BT lines have V23 Caller-ID, which works fine with Asterisk. Both asterisk and zaptel are fresh from CVS. Both FXO modules (channels 3 and 4) are in "group 1" for outgoing calls. My

X100P callerid ETSI - caller*ID failed checksum
Dear All, I am a newbie about asterisk. I have 1x X100P card 3x Sip phone I got aware of problem, after I saw the caller id on my sip phone. I noticed that if I receive a call from GSM Operator A, I can see caller id. But any other operator, I got no caller id, even my direct PSTN service operator. So at that moment I was using *1.0.9. than I changed to asterisk@home 1.3(1.0.9). I got same

RE: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #3387 - 9 msgs
How do you setup the timing in Meetme conference? I have a x100p and tdm4x card. When I dialing to my conference I get a request to schedule in the past error message. thanks -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of asterisk-users-request@lists.digium.com Sent: Saturday, April 10, 2004 10:48 AM To:

Policies - deny some nubers
Hi, I had asterisk installed, ISDN-adapter, some x-lite software-phones and I can call betweens the softphone- and 'normal' phones during the ISDN-card. 2 questions now 1) Is it posible to create policies, so that some SIP-users can dial ALL numbers, and some SIP-users not are allowed to dial eg. 900xxx-numbers, 30xxxxxx (mobilphones), 40xxxx(long distance) and if possible on time

The cell companies are "doing it" like they think makes sense. If they know your cell is off/out of range they route instantly to VM. They could give "4-10 rings" of fake effort, but why. With follow me roaming and such, they want to process the call as fast as possible. If they don't know if the cell is available, they may go through about 4 rings of searching, but

ioctl(ZT_LOADZONE) failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Well, I think I discovered even further why there is no ringback tone available. The following message, is displayed on the console in asterisk. ioctl(ZT_LOADZONE) failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device Failed to register zone 'United States / North America': No data available Looking more into it, I found that it was related to loading tones for a particular zone. The message is printed

Problem with DTMF 'looping' / mis-dials (X100P card)
Hi all, I'm having a problem with * being very finicky about the length of DTMF key-presses during menus, voicemail, etc. Basically, short (<100 ms) tones are ignored, anything between 100ms (or so) and about 300ms is correctly detected, and anything >300ms is interpreted as multiple presses of the same key. This is terrible for callers who are trying to get to the correct

Anyone run * on OS X ?
With the 1U Apple G5 server at a good reliability/storage/pricepoint level... got to thinking about compiling Asterisk on OS X.. at least for SIP phone call switching, voicemail, etc. Has anybody attempted this? Email me off list if this is too dev-heavy for the user list. Thanks, Ted W -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-request@lists.digium.com

Incoming caller presentation doesn't work - out of ideas
Hi, I'm calling asterisk with a swedish PSTN-phone line with caller presentation (DTMF) activated. I'm using asterisk 1.4.20.1 and cannot upgrade unfortunately, so I have to stay with this release. I use a TDM800P 8 channel PSTN card working as answering phones (I connect a phoneline with carrier signal to my TDM-card). Using zaptel-1.4.12.1. I verified that the DTMF tones of the number

Ang: Re: Dutch (DTMF) caller-ID
Hi all! I am in the same situation here in Sweden, but I just got the X100 card and don t get it to work with DTMF caller ID. Is the only way to solve this to buy a TDM400 card w FXO modules? Is it just a driver question or a HW issue with the X100 card? Where to find dok about the new keywords in conf files like "cidstart=polarity" in zapata.conf? rgds Gunnar >>>

Dutch (DTMF) caller-ID
Hey all, I recently noticed that DTMF caller-ID was implemented in CVS, so I requested the service from my telco (the Dutch KPN) and tried to get it going in Asterisk (current CVS), without success so far. This system has 1 X100P, 2 TDM400P's with 4 FXS-modules each and 2 HFC-PCI ISDN-cards (zaphfc-driver) in it. The analog line I'm trying to get caller-ID working on is obviously on the

dtmf tone clamping in calls to external ivr
Hello, I'm having trouble working out how to send DTMF tones to an external IVR. My system has an analog phone connected to a TDM400P card, a SIP software phone (Zultys LIPZ4) and is connected to a BRI in Australia with a NETjet-S card. I'm using ISDN4Linux and a 2.4.25 kernel patched with the ISDN audio patch from Traverse (which allows the card to do voice). DTMF works fine between

Norstar Integration with Asterisk via FXO or BRI ISDN
Hi, I have a legacy Norstar system that I'm looking into integrating with my Asterisk setup. My first attempts have worked, which involves a Wildcard X100P FXO card in the * box connected to the Internal ATA (FXS port) on the Norstar system. Calling from SIP -> Norstar works fine, since the SIP caller initiated the call and generally will be sane enough to hangup the phone when
