FC2 zaptel compile failure
I've got a fresh FC2 install and I'm trying to get the symlinks right according to the /usr/src/zaptel/README.Linux26 instructions. I've created two symlinks: /usr/src/linux-2.6 -> /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-1.358 /lib/modules/linux-2.6 -> /lib/modules/2.6.7-1.494.2.2 When I do a "make linux26", I get a million warnings and errors with the result being: make[2]: ***

Fedora Core 2 and Kernel 2.6
Hi All, I decided to have a go at installing Asterisk on FC2 which now runs on Kernel 2.6.. Unfortunately I didn't get very far.. When trying to build zaptel it required me to link /usr/scr/linux-2.6 to the default source dir which is /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-1.358.. I guess thats still the RH infulence.. :) After than I tried again but the page rolls with errors and finally ends with..

ztdummy compile again
Hi, I'm still strugling with getting an easy to use conference system implemented. I did have app_conference running, but today I upgraded asterisk to 1.0.9 and it stopped working. I've tried following the instructions for compiling app_conference on 1.0.7 but it didn't work. So I went back to ztdummy (I've not had any luck getting this to compile on FC2). Anyhoo, I've

Compiling zaptel
I take it you are running RedHat 8 (or 9) since this is the most up-to-date kernel. Did you install the kernel-sources and kernel-util rpms as well? You'll need these in order to compile and install zaptel. -sb -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com]On Behalf Of T. chan_capi, Eicon Diva server BRI, kernel 2.6?
Hi list, Does chan_capi work with kernel 2.6? The Eicon Diva server card loads fine judging from /var/log/messages but Asterisk gives an error when trying to load the chan_capi module. I'm using chan_capi-0.3.5, zaptel-1.0.0, libpri-1.0.0 and asterisk-1.0.0 on a Fedora box with kernel 2.6.8-1.584. Zaptel and ilbpri work fine as does *. I have seen a msg that may be related and don't know

RC2 zaptel compile problem
I'm a newbie with a TDM11B. I've read the FAQs about linking /usr/src/linux-2.6 to /usr/src/linux-2.6.8-1.521 and /lib/linux-2.6 to /lib/linux-2.6.8-1.521 but still get a million errors and eventual abort during compile. Could someone point me in the right direction? I do a yum update every day and I'm using the CVS from 9/14/04. I'm also using an ASUS CUSL2 system board.

Beronet app_saynumber-beta-rc1

For those that are hearing about for the first time, it?s a piece of software that enables the use of another language in say_number commands in asterisk dialplan or AGI scripts. Asterisk and zaptel on Fedora Core 2
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear all. As I couldn't get to compile and run Asterisk 1.0RC1 on my default RedHat 9 I thought it was about time to upgrade to Fedora Core 2. Well, it was too late to realize the kernel 2.6 wasn't supported by Asterisk *officially* anyway. Here is what I did to get asterisk and zaptel to work under Fedora Core 2: I posted it on the wiki

Newbie....
I have a question for the group. To get this running do I need any Digium Cards? I understand I will need them to connect to the public phone system. I'm looking at just using IP Phones or IP Softphones just to test this app. Thanks for any help you could give.

ZAPTEL not loading on FC2
Hello all, I've just installed the Fedora core 2 and tried to compile the asterisk and the zaptel drivers Asterisk went smooth but I had troubles with the zaptel. I did copy the .config file under the kernel source and make oldconfig and make include/asm ; make include/version.h ; make SUBDIRS=scripts I was able to compile the zaptel source, using the make linux26 and then ran make install. I

Fedora2 and Kernel 2.6 again!
Setting up a new system using Fedora Core 2.. Tried following the instruction below (from the mailing list archives) that worked before.. cp configs/config-for-my-kernel .config make oldconfig make include/asm make include/linux/version.h make SUBDIRS=scripts .. but now the FC2 kernel has been upgraded to 2.6.6 and these instructions no longer seem to work which means I can't get Zaptel
