Problems with Outbound Calls
Hi everyone!
I'm quite a newbie at this Asterisk stuff so please bear with me.
We've recently decided to start training in Asterisk via AsteriskNow!
Asterisk version is 1.4.18.1 through AsteriskNow! 1.02
The box we have is paired with a Digium TE110P and we've managed to get
it to the point where incoming calls via a single DID (from NTT Japan)
can be received and answered

Stumped by BroadVoice SIP
Hello guys.
I am a fairly new user to Asterisk, and I'm just having a tough time.
My goal is to set up a VOIP PBX. I have signed up with a BroadVoice
number, and I have three systems with SIP phones.
The PBX and the SIP phones are all behind a Cisco PIX running NAT.
I am using Asterisk CVS version from yesterday. I also tried 1.0.3 with
little luck.
The SIP phones are two X-Lites on

Serial port DTMF Caller-ID reciever /w scripts for X100P/X101P/Clones....
Since the X100P/X101P/Clone cards does not work in all countries that
use DTMF based
Caller-ID systems, I've developed a hardware that you connect to a
serial port and the PSTN.
You then run a perl script "cid_logger.pl" as a daemon, and modify
extensions.conf to call
an agi script whenever a call comes in, and if it's on the X100 card it
will get the caller id

Cisco and Asterisk
Hey all,
I'm pretty new to Asterisk and VoIP in general, so I'm hoping I can get
a bit of help here.
First I'll explain my setup, and then my problem.
Right now I have a Cisco 3640 with a VIC2FXO card in it which has 2 FXO
ports. I have an analog phone line plugged into the first port
(voice-port 1/0/0). I've got it setup so that calls coming into that
analog line are

SIP configuration issues
Apologies if this is a repeat: I trawled through the archives and couldn't
find a reasonable answer, so I'm asking here. I have an Asterisk install
connecting from behind a NAT device (DSL modem) to a SIP proxy (in my case,
Broadvoice). I have an sjphone softphone on a Windows PC also behind the NAT
device that connects to the Asterisk install, and using this setup I've been

Can I tell if a call picked up on PSTN extension... for example?
Don't know enough to properly term the problem I'm seeing... sorry if subject appears vague. And I have other questions too, but "Newbie Help Wanted" isn't exactly more specific... ;-)
My setup, intended for testing and all, "*" version 1.6.0.6, dahdi with an X100p clone. Regular phone line provides PSTN access with one port (and my DSL).

Pattern matching rules for least cost routing
I've got two patterns I want to match on making an outgoing call...
(one day - to do Least Cost Routing for Cell/Mobile calls)
Firstly - I prefer '0' rather than '9' to get an outside line...
Either its a call to a mobile No... (072 -or- 082 -or- 083 -or- 084)
or its just another number to dial...
I added the following... the playback just advises me which 'route' is

How to shorten ringing stop detection on X101P clone?
When x101p clone receive ring signal from phone line, my voip phone
start ringing. But, if caller hang-up at some time, phone continues to
ringing 10 second more. How can I shorten that time?
Pause betwen incoming rings on my phone line is 4s, so when x101p clone
(wcfxo driver) do not receive next ring signal after 4.5 sec, call
should be consider as ended.
What should I change to set that time
