Data transfer
Hi, im a student and we are devloping a training sytem for radio operators (for ships, police, ...) at our university. So far we are using a simple own protocol for speech and data transmission, works well at a Lan. Now we are looking for a way to connect the devices over the internet. I did some very quick testing with Asterisk and PJSIP [1] and it looks very promising. Apart from the voice

Call centre - * hang's up
When agent tries to transfer a phone call (*2 - att transfer) he hangs up. Why? When a phone call isn't from queue then att transfer works fine. In features conf I have *1 for recording, *2 for att transfer and #1 for blind. In queue blind transfer works. For disconnect I have #0. I guess that * is somewhere defined as for hang-up the call, but where? I can't find it anywhere. Any help

Hi, I'm having problems using a TDM400P Card. I put my SIM card in a Nokia Premicell and connected it to a TDM400P card but when I make calls to the number, it hangs up automatically. The card also can't call out. Any ideas? I've searched the archives without much success. I appreciate all your help. Details: I'm using Asterisk 1.2.17 on Fedora Core release 5 (Bordeaux). On an

Asterisk handling of SIP info
We encouter a situation where we need to use SIP info to convey infomation for one end point to another endpoint. I use asterisk to do the test and find asterisk does not forward the SIP info to another endpoint, but act as UAS and returns a 4xx error message. I think asterisk is not right to handle this SIP info message. In RFC 3261 Page 70 "This protocol is designed to be extended.

corrupted btrfs after suspend2ram uncorrectable with scrub
Hello, I''m using kernel 3.1.0 and I have both / and /home as btrfs. I used suspend to ram quite often and never had a problem, but yesterday I''ve suspended to get into a plane and when I resumed my /home was all about input/output errors. Reboot did not help either. My root (/) did not suffer any problems. Today I''ve upgraded btrfs-progs to latest GIT and tried scrub

Looking for FreeBSD developer with experience in performance, network driver, SMP experience.
I've been getting some pretty attractive leads for FreeBSD developers who have experience in drivers, SMP and networking. Good interpersonal and mentoring ability required. Remote is OK. Compensation is good. Being able to understand Linux a plus. (note this is a FreeBSD job!) Drop me a line please. -Alfred

chan_capi [0.4.0|-cm-0.5.4] and Asterisk 1.2.0-beta1 - early B3 not early enough sometimes
Hi, I've just installed Asterisk 1.2.0-beta1 for the first time and downloaded chan_capi and compiled it in and run it. (For comparison purposes, I've tried this with both chan_capi-0.4.0PRE1 and chan_capi-cm-0.5.4 and chan_capi-cm latest CVS). Whilst most things are fine, it seems that if I specify the 'b' parameter in the dial string before the number, sometimes the early

Monitoring Lustre for health and user experience??
Can anyone point me to a study or anything from some site that has a story re monitoring/tracking Lustre for: * Basic health (to catch problems before users call) * Performance régressions due to software, hardware, etc. * Bad actors from the user community. Are there simple probes of Lustre health? * Are there metrics available from internal Lustre monitoring? * Even
